Lights In Base?

So what do you think of those little LED lights that turn on when you're taking a hit? I could see them being tacky, or pretty sweet depending on the situation. I was thinking of getting some, but I hear some of them break pretty quickly and are more hassle than they're worth.

Yeah those are exactly what im talking about, I also saw a big black disc that I think goes under the base as well. You think the glow balls would work when a diffuser is attached?

It will just not well. the lights will flicker every now and then.

Could be cool in certain situations but lights aren't really my thing.

some of my friends use them every time, but I think they look kinda trashy and wierd. but It also could be that I usually do homework or watch a movie while I smoke, and the dancing little lights are pretty distracting while trying to work.

I used those in my first hookah. They worked well in the beginning then they got corroded. I ended up making a lazy suzan rotator base the had two color changing LEDs in it. So the LEDs lit up the inside of the hookah.

i wired up 4 sets of 3 white leds in to go under my base. It worked pretty well and had a cool effect when the lights where dim but it made it slightly unstable and due to my hackery (used a old external harddrive enclosure to power it) it eventually shorted out. long story being short not really worth it
