I have used the CH instant lights and I think they suck horribly compared to coco-naras. I would be willing to do a video review on all of them if someone sent me starlight coals.

I was thinking the same thing last night.

I have cocos on hand and HC coals on the way.

I would be more than willing to do it. Just need to get some CH and Starlights. Anyone want to send me a couple I will do it up quality style!

Yinz guys got too much time on your hands... I'm fine with naturals most of the time, and if I'm going somewhere I can't light on a stove/grill I'll just use 3kings, works fine for me. Maybe my consumer skills just aren't as ridiculously high or something, i dunno...

You can't really compare a natural coal to a quick light coal.. If you where to compare the CH coals get the natural ones!

CH ql's are def the best quick lights on the market atm

I was under the impression that these were different from regular quick lights and that they were identical to the non quick light version except for the you know quick light part.

Well those CH quick lights are pretty much naturals that have a quick light coating....They are different from the other ql's because if you keep a solid flame on it it bursts into fireballs...had that happen tonight it was awesome biggrin.gif . But yea they are def. the best quicklights on the market for sure.

Nobody has starlights? I picked up two boxes a few weeks ago. $5 for a (70?) piece box. I haven't tried coconaras but they do put out a good amount of heat. They don't need to be flipped either like some other coco coals.

I think it would be cool to keep it to the coconut coals

Coconaras, CH coco nats, HC (Al Awa'el) coco, and Starlight coco

Effectually making it the "what is the best coconut coal on the market"-geddon

Since the "HC" coals are called Al Awa'el should we start calling them "AA cocos" to avoid confusion since HC is also carrying the CH cocos? Edited by giant ninja robot

I currently have access to 3 of the 4 coconut coals. I have Coconaras & Al Awa'els, and a friend not far from me has the CH Naturals. Anyone willing to ship a handful of Starlights ? I'll copy and replicate the exact format along with pictures, of the original COALMAGEDDON thread and creator, gaia.plateau smile.gif

I'm closely familiar with the rules, but why are you guys calling the CH Coals, "CH Coals." The term that C stands for isn't always a NHT reference. Here's the definition without the word referenced:

1. Of long duration: continuing, lingering, persistent, prolonged, protracted. See continue/stop/pause.
2. Familiar through repetition: accustomed, habitual, routine. See usual/unusual.
3. Subject to a disease or habit for a long time: confirmed, habitual, habituated, inveterate. See continue/stop/pause.

No where on there page is there a reference to NHT, nor is there anything on the label linking it to that. Just because that word is in the name doesn't mean it shouldn't be said. It's pertinent to the product/brand and is just a prevalent as if I referenced it with "Back Pain."

It can be construed that way so it's a banned term. Plus the name actually has .com after it which is a banned vendor on here. Thems the rules.
