Tangiers Lucid

Recommended Posts

Simple question just hoping someone could clear this up for me. Is tangiers lucid easier to smoke than standard tangiers? I gave up on Tangiers after I couldn't breathe and got sick from smoking blue gum ball (tasted oh so good but wow harsh...) Is Lucid like most other brands of shisha?
Thanks for the help

it smokes th same. The nicotine is just lower with the Lucid. If it is harsh you are using too much heat..period.

smoked tangiers last night and on my small phunnel i had to use 2 cocos and a wind cover to get enough heat.

honestly ive found the packing isnt a huge issue with tangiers at least in standard bowls.

from what im told lucid is not as "full flavored" or "robust" since the tobacco is washed, havent gotten a chance to try it though

QFT. the only way in a blind test id figure out is if you let me smoke for 15 mins. If after 15mins I'm falling asleep, its the regular.

also, the lucid is easier to pack and can be packed like starbuzz or al amir or what not.

I enjoy Lucid more. Especially if you smoke with friends cause reg. tangiers will probably make them sick because they are used to puffing away on lower-nicotine shisha. With lucid you don't have to worry about any of that, but get the same flavor and lasts just as long.

i still say you guys are using a lot of coal, but thats just me.

So far i've had only the lucid k-cherry. Tasty. I have soem Tasty Peach coming in my next order.

how much smoke are you getting though?

i know of a lot of people that use 3/4 of exotica on a small phunnel with tangiers (which i think is way to much) but for them is works. ive seen so much range of coal useage on the same bowls with the same shisha and the same results but it just doesnt work for others, kinda weird

2 whole coco's???

ya too much heat..one coco in pieces should do the job.

Mush is right once again, only issue I ever had was harshness and you always think that there isnt too much heat but with tangiers there always is, I had to use 3 halfs of the HC coconut coals not the banned vendor but the hc ones and it smoked well. 2 whole hc coconut coals and it was terrible.

I usually use 2 cocos on my small tangiers bowl and that does ok I still havent mastered Tangiers yet. One day I do it good and one day I dont...

Like mush said use pieces and you will be good to go, this is why I bought the easy lite japs, b/c they give off alot less heat making it easier to use with tangiers.

I use a glass funnel and screen, and i get the heat going with 4 cocos evenly spread out. then, once its going, i put two cocos right next to eachother with one coco right on top (the 4th coco gets removed). to keep the cocos lit and keep the session going, i rotate their positions while moving it around the bowl. Any less coal and it doesnt hit properly at all. Maybe the humidity in different places plays a role and also the glass setup def requires more heat.

Also i dont pack the tangiers in tight like that one video ive seen floating around. i found that method to be unsmokable with a glass setup. I just pack it in so that some/most of it is comfortably touching the glass screen.

You're gonna get a lot of different answers on this. I prefer the old style Tangiers, non-lucid. I can taste it far better than the Lucid version. There's a fullness to it that isnt present in the Lucid version. The Lucid is still great. No complaints from a usability standpoint, just the fullness could be a bit better. Try it for yourself. With OG Tangiers, really watch your heat, start with half coals then move up to whole coals if you're using pre-formed square coals. With finger coals, use quarters of a coal until you find your sweet spot.
