bigvito
What? O yea, hey all, my mya qt has been on the shelf for five months now, and I'm gonna make use of it again one of these days... I think.I shelved it because it smoked nastily. The wacky tabacky, or maassal as it is called in the old land, has been in the fridge since. I've got some nakhla, al fakher and more... I think I'm gonna go with nakhla. What do I need to do to the maassal in order for it to smoke great? I've never gotten it to smoke good, however I always had lots of holes and big ones too, next I'm gonna try tiny holes and see if that helps...So, back on topic, what needs to be done to the maassal? I don't think I can take it right outta the fridge before 1 smoke...

bigvito
Will do, and what to do about the stuff that's been in the coolerator? I read somewhere that it was a good idea cuz it'd dry up if not, anyways, what to do now? let it sit in room temperature for a week?
drabin
you just needed to keep it somewhere they didnt heat up alot and in an airtop container or bag. so a closet or a pantry.
dead_lemons
yeah you might want to ditch the stuff you put in the fridge and go buy some fresh stuff. also when you smoke make sure you move the coals around so as not to un evenly heat the bowl. bigvito
Smoked now, seemed ok. Airflow is a prob, I can only get about a mouthfull. This time, I used only a few tiny holes, which seemed to help on some of the harshness. After about 20 mins, the smoke got harsh and i stopped. It had a little bit of taste, was kinda thin.I have ashes in my tobacco, what do you think about this?
inino
ashes in your tobacco could mean one of a few things. you dont blow the ashes off when the coals start ashing up, or you smoke your bowl til its overkill and ashes get sucked in. ive smoke bowls before til it literally had no smoke and flavor left in it and when you take off the foil its covered in ash. not good to do.
