ROBOdilf
I just got a box of Coco nara coals, but I can't seem to light them, even over my stove. Does anyone know a good way to light them. It seems like something that should be really easy to do but I can't do it.
Hojo
Some people use a blowtorch, but I bought a single coil electric burner from Walgreens for $10. I put a couple of cocos on there, turn it on, and let the coals cook while I pack the bowl and set up the rest of the hookah. Usually by the time I am finished the coals are just about ready as well. *Veritas*
All you need to do is put your stove on high and let them sit directly on the coils for a little bit. Flip them around till all sides are red. If you have a glass top stove it will take a good deal longer to get them lit than it would on a coil stove. ryno
Cocos aren't Qls, and they take some time to heat up. Usually 10 min. Is your stove electric or gas?
r1v3th3ad
If they aren't lighting even with leaving them on the stove for a while, could be a water damaged batch...my guess
ROBOdilf
Yea I have a gas stove so thats part of my problem, I'll look into one of those electic burners though.
inino
gas works just as fine as electric. if they wont light even if they stay on the burner for more than 5-10 minutes then as someone else said they could be water/humidity damaged.
