coldfire22x
first and foremost, this is the first hookah i've ever purchased for myself :Pupon opening the box, i discovered that the wind guard was free to roam about in the packing peanuts. it must've suffered a couple good blows because it was bent pretty good in a couple of spots. everything else was packaged the way it should have been (bubble wrapped, in boxes, etc.) and not damaged.when i first screwed everything together, i noticed that nothing really screwed together straight. once assembled, you couldn't tell anything was bent, but when twisting things around you could really tell. the mouthpieces on the hoses, however, are noticably crooked.i noticed a rattle when i first placed the stem into the base ... couldn't figure out what the heck it was, but upon further inspection i realized that the valves were autosealing! i don't remember seeing this in the item description, but needless to say i'm not complaining :Pwhen i first packed the bowl up and started to draw from one of the hoses (i got the 2 hose), it was like sucking a frozen mcdonalds milkshake threw a stirring straw. figured out that there was some sort of "glue" material in the mouthpiece that was restricting the airflow. i was able to poke and grind that out of there so now it draws as well as it should.now i'm actually getting some decent smoke out of the hookah. i can say that it hits quite well. nice easy draw, doesn't appear to be any leaks, and even though i'm puffing like a champ, no harshness yet. these "golden coals" sure don't last long, but the romman shisha has been lasting quite a long time.overall i'm pretty happy. i'm kind of disappointed with the quality of the product after spending 100+ dollars, but as i said, it's my first. i don't know what to expect it looks very sharp and will probably keep me quite happy for a while
dizzing
sounds about par for the course on egyptians. the one ihad never sealed properly, no matter what i did, due to some weird imperfections inthe stem or vase or both. looking now i see that it's a "mod" hookah, not listed with the egyptians, but i have a feeling it might be made by the same people; as i believe hookah-shisha's supplier, hookahwholesale, makes both. actually, i think the one i had was made by sahara smoke; i ordered it from southsmoke.com and got it in a box that said sahara smoke anyway, so i'm assuming that's where they get them. regardless, the manufacturing processes are similar, i'd guess. Monil
thanks for the review. I have one of these on order (should arrive next week), I was wondering if you could say more about the glue in the hose? Is this hard to find and take out or would it become obvious when I get the hookah? Does the autoseal work well or are there issues with it? Thanks!
