wiggle
After hundred of bowl i have come to the conclusion that the 2 most important factors to a good smoke are packing properly the tobacco (obviously) but less know and to the same importance the type of foil you use as they vary in thickness from 0.2 mm / 0.008 in so its how much heat it dissipates. so I would recommend thin foil for wet tobacco like star buzz or al faker and thicker foil for more dry tobacco. and remember the thinner the more smoke you get but the less the shisha will last and the harder it is to manage heat. Kathrynx
I prefer always using renolds "heavy duty" tin foil. This is because you will not burn up your shisha (as you said it is harder to manage the heat), and you can use the same bowl for the next couple of days. neffertiti
i just use the normal Reynolds wrap. usually if there's a heat problem i just take off a coal or something. the only thing i really worry about is the holes that i poke.

wiggle
the metal screens for hookahs are curtly shit. the don't work but something better done and different hole patterns. something resembling the way you use foil and not huge hole though witch tons of ash fall

The heavy duty foil keeps what we don't use that day moist for at least 2 days. We smoke it everyday, and no, flavor is not lost, just takes a little more heat the second time around to get it started, but once it is, it smokes just as good as the first day. If you use the right coals, very little if any ash will get into the shisha. Out of the last 10 or so bowls, the only one that had any noticable ash in it was when my friend who is less than careful was handling the coals while I had to go handle something.I'm a big screen fan just because the draw is so easy, heat management seems to be cake, and the overall smoke quality is consistant. Bulldog_916
Thin, cheap foil. It gets the job done and I use less coal to do it. This is the value shit that you get for 4 dollars at Costco or Smart and Final. I love it.
SixPackSunday
i would sooner say packing/heat management over foil.... who cares about the foil if you use the proper coals/heat it wont matterthat said glass screen/reynolds hd ftw
pullingteeth
my votes for reynolds heavy duty. since i bought a roll of it haven't used anything else. it made my tangiers smoke alot better...i think that foil definitely plays a decent role in the quality of your session.
