h0lic
i definitely burned myself on a handle-less windcover without even trying a week ago. looks pretty nasty.. put a handle on those things!
OC4111
I got the taj wind cover which has no handles. When I remove it i just hold it from the base of the cover and no problems at all.

drabin
yea thats one reason I have yet to buy a windcover. If someone makes a model designed for use on phunnel bowls with a handle I would buy it in an instant
jezter6
Mine's got this flimsy little handle that only comes out less than an inch from the windcover - and it gets hot as fuck anyways, so I have to take it off with tongs.Since it's flimsy and the tongs aren't precision devices, I'm always scraping the foil off the bowl or knocking coals off into the tray (or worse - onto the table) because of it.Mine's the tall screen from HC. Pilgrim
one of my friends broke the handle of my windcover, thanks to the bastard I now have to use a towel or something to ash my coals..
iamscott06
This is for stuie, or anyone else that has a fez windcover.I just took a coat hanger, cut some edges off to make it smaller and bended the ends a bit.. I would post more pics but its currently at my friends house..

mattathayde
i have the h-s wind cover and the handle works ok, not the best but its ok, i dont get burned on it.i also dont have a huge issue with getting burned since ive started blowing glass because when you are dealing with 2000* stuff you learn how close and how long you can touch metal that dont look hot but very well could be-matt

engineonmute
What is it with making windcovers with no handles or with bad handles? Don't the makers realize that the windcovers get hot.... and need a handle.... so we don't burn ourselves
