staygone
With AF's general inconsistancy, I'm surprised that it doesn't taste like ketchup.Let it sit out for a bit, give it a breather.-QM
Hippo_Master
Definitely try to acclimate it... it really shouldn't take all that long. After 2 days, if it still smells like mulch, use it as mulch.
Bye bye now have fun
is there a too long on letting it sit out?
Hippo_Master
No not necessarily, there's not very much that can really evaporate, and you can just mix all of the liquid that leaked to the bottom of the tub into the tobacco again, which i would recommend doing periodically. Make sure it all gets it's dance with the air supply.

mattarios2
hmm like mulch? never had that problem over here, af peach is awesome. I guess acclimating it is what you should do as others have said, should HOPEFULLY fix the issue.

OC4111
I ordered a tub a few months back and it smelled and tasted like plastic. Had that happen with a couple of other AF flavors. Kinda turned me off from it.
Hippo_Master
Tangiers and Starbuzz make the best peaches, Af's is mediocre at best, but still much, much, much better then Mizo or Al Amir Exotic by a long-shot. But the inconsitency issues of AF as of late are very telling of quality control issues. I sent AF an Email when their small cut came out, and they told me that the only tobacco they could find at the time was the small shredded style, and so they just put it into production. At that point, it all went to the dumps and inconsistency issues starting sprouting up. I don't know if anyone else inquired to Al Fakher about their problems, i wonder what the response to them was? mattarios2
hmm i haven't had any inconsistency issues, even with grape, does smell a lil like ketchup but tasted just like grapes to me and the 8 other people i smoke with.

Hippo_Master
I like to call Af "Cheap Clouds". 10 bucks and you get 250 grams of severe thunderstorms. Only problem is getting struck by lightning in your throat.
mushrat
ive had problems with AF GS Eskandrani apple tasting like dish soap and plastic, but i havent tried another batch of that crap in over a year.I think a lot can happen after it leaves the factory that can effect the tobacco to some extent. Havign said that i've had bad tubs of just about any tobacco you can name except Tangiers. Just part of the Game I guess.I use a lot of peach at my place and had no troubles, so far.... mattarios2
people r so harsh, AF is the shit, you are gonna get bad batches sometimes, 1 or 2 people post about peach tasting like mulch and now it is an epidemic. Grape smells like ketchup yes, but it tastes just fine to me. And I have gone through peach and it tastes just fine too.
Hojo
Well, mark one off of the "mulch" list. I smoked it last night and it was fine. It wasn't as flavor-blasted as I would have liked, but I didn't have any problems.
noca$h
I had a ketchup batch of grape a little while ago, I let it acclimate for a little and the ketchup smell subsided a little but I was still afraid to fire it up. I finally said screw it and loaded it.Smoked just fine, and tasted like grapes.Point is, you never know until you throw the coals on the foil.
