zachslusser
i just burnt my carpet in my apartment like 2 nights ago. first time I've done that, and I've been smoking since 2005. but i think i might be able to shave off the burnt part ( didn't burn all the way down) and glue in some more carpet from a closet. has anyone tried this ?Ill try and post a pic of the damage later tonight. Guest DJ_HOSSEIX
there is a video on youtube from some hookah member showing how to replace burnt carpet by cutting a new piece from your closet and super gluing it on the shaved portion. MechAnt
I have used the shaving and gluing technique to great success. DO IT!

Cerritus
You can cut out a square that has the burnt piece in it and replace it. Cut another piece from somewhere else like a closet, or go to lowes and take one of the free samples (find one that matches your carpet) and use carpet tape to attach it to the original carpet. That's how a lot of professional carpet guys fix small holes and burns. It'll look like nothing ever happened after a few days of walking on it normally. This saved my ass when I moved out of my last apartment.

inino
i was house sitting for a guy once and me and my friend got the dumb idea to light up in his living room seeing as how he had a bigscreen tv and we were bored. we burned a pretty decent sized hole in his carpet so we did the glue technique. only thing is we took it from under his bed and not the closet lol. ColibriDon
I just took a pair of scissors and cut some carpet from my closet to fix a disaster (8 burns total...ouch). I just cut enough to get threads and then I took some crazy glue, put it on the burns and then put the threads on the glue. It works fine, the only problem is that the carpet from my closet is much cleaner than the carpet in my living room so I am having to dirty it up to match. Hope this helps.
