Giant Ninja Robot
Anyone have any theories? My guess is that he was trying to be sweet like Mr. Miagi and was chasing a fly with some chopsticks and the fly happened down the stem of the pipe. Or perhaps he was eating general tsao's chicken and being a chopstick novice, lost a piece whilst setting up the hookah. It's also possible that there was a dramatic relationship fight and his lady friend picked up the first blunt heavy object she saw and all he had to defend himself with were the chopsticks in question. chinamon
mount the hookah on the table of a drill press. use a really long drill bit and drill down the shaft really carefully.do not use a handheld drill as you will not be able to hold the drill straight enough to avoid damaging the stem. mattathayde
ok seriously drilling wood out of metal, the wood will not bind to the metal, just tap them out from the other end with a rod. drilling is a waste of time, money, and to much of a risk on damaging the rig-matt

And this is just a sign to stop combining your two (my two) loves so closely.....Sushi and Shisha (if I threw my 3rd love in there my girlfriend and I might be visiting the hospital)

Then, get the wire hanger and try your best to push out the sticks out at one endat this point they are probably wedged in there good enough that its gona take a piece or rod (like brass rod from the hardware store) or a dowel, the hanger is a little to flimsy to get that much force going)o edit cause i forgot to say it before if you end up using a metal rod you should round off the edges a little at least enough to knock of the hard edge just so you dont scrape a burr up inside and if you want to be overly cautious heat the end of the rod up to just barely dull red (assuming brass) wait until the red disappears and then quench in water right away and it will be annealed and very soft on the end so it shouldnt scratch much if at all in comparison to the right off the shelf hardness (of about medium hard temper)-matt Edited November 8, 2008 by mattathayde
