dizzing
oh yeah, and it's a 22" design; the one i have now is like 26-28, and my favorite all time hookah was about an 18" so i'm looking forward to seeing how this one stacks up. bigger is not always better, as far as i'm concerned. [LB]
that hookah looks sweet! i know the feeling of anticipation, i had to have that feeling in my stomach stretched out for about 2 months once when the order wasnt shipped out for about a month and a half! dizzing
oh yes, and the vase isn't bohemian like that, it's a more normal egyptian style. although i didn't get a choice, it's okay because in my experience it's better for avoiding tip-overs - and god knows my carpet takes enough abuse
mushrat
Nice choice...Did you get one of the "slightly blemished" ones and save even more? I think they had some of that design in their discount or special section. If you've never ordered from socialsmoke before, You should be getting tracking info within a day..then you can watch your hookah work its way to you at an agonizingly slow speed on a UPS truck.... ongrats on the new machine! dizzing
it's not slightly blemished, but it was on special - the original price was like 80 dollars or so, it was only 65. they had the same one for 55 but it only had 1 hose and no adaptor - i think the adaptors alone cost about 10 bucks so it was worth it to me.and yes, it's my first time ordering from them. previously the only two companies i've dealt with were thehookah.com and southsmoke.com... i have absolutely no opinion of thehookah.com, and southsmoke was merely passable. i'm looking forward to finding out if all the good stories about socialsmoke are true

pavlakos_politakos
beautiful pipe dude!!! and sorry to burst your bubble but when it comes to shi sha, bigger is ALWAYS better.the smoke has more time to cool and lose some of the bad sh*t in it on the way down.a long hose would be good too(for the same reason). PipeSmokeMcGee
65 bucks doesn't sound to bad for that machine. did you say that it includes a purgve-valve hose-adapter? my friend is looking to buy a 20" to 25" 2 hose, but I'm sure he'd liek the idea of a purge-valve adapter. mushrat
PP: sorry to burst YOUR bubble...but I think the bigger is better arguement will continue long after we've moved on... I actually like the may my 24" hits better than my 34". And there is less room for the smoke to sit and go stale in the smaller one...its going fresh from my head, through the water, and into me....no waiting. yashman19
Im definately a fan of the gold/green base combo. Those colors look really good together. My large gold color stem hookah with clear base was ok, but when I broke the clear base and had to buy a replacement, and got the green base with gold lines on it, it really looked sharp. Congrats on the large purchase. I'm sure everyone has their own "franken-hookah". Atleast I did, you know, different color parts/bowls/hose, my base was cracked, I had a bent stem, but we still rocked em. Nice to have a nice eye candy hookah that smokes well too though. dizzing
yeah mcgee, it comes with an autoseal adaptor and a second hose. i've heard various things about the adaptors, but worst case i can take the bearing out and drill it out to remove the autoseal functionality and make it just a nice 2-hose. hopefully the autoseal works better than what i've heard some people say (some have claimed that the draw is very tough)as for the size debate, well, i'm just gonna stay out of it i know what my experiences have been, and i'm sure everyone else has their own
Lakemonster
I have a simular machine as that from Social....... was my first "real" hookah. No need to de-function the auto seal... you can open it up and still get it to work nicely... nicely crafted pipe

Shift_Six
I was going to order from thehookah.com but my friend ( whos nice enough to let me use his credit card) has informed me that they dont respond to orders placed from Canada very fast. Thing is if your outside the US, they require an email first, and last time we tried they didnt respond until like a month later. I was wondering if any sites have a junior hookah under 20", preferably 2 hose with a hard case (hard case is important). I also want to get some al fakher, and al amir along with it. I would go hookahcompany, but they are out of stock on 2 things i need.
Shift_Six
Sorry, what a waste of a space that was. I see social smoke has exactly what im looking for after i put some effort into to looking.
dizzing
well, placed the order 2 nights ago, still haven't recieved any shipping confirmation... went to the site and my order is flagged as "partially shipped"...either they're in the midst of getting it sent out today, or things are not going as smoothly as i'd expected
dizzing
just wanted to follow up - i was wrong, socialsmoke is AWESOME. i sent them an inquiry about my order status just before making this last post, and i'd say within 20 minutes they'd replied telling me that everything was fine, they were just in the process of getting the order shipped out. it is going out today, and i guess i'll recieve tracking info within 24 hours after ups picks it up.awesome service , a lot of places would leave me hanging for a day or two

Jonny Haze
Social Smoke is great, they have the only 800 # I ever called that is answered by a human every time. Gotta appreciate that.
Sonthert
As a side point, I contacted Social Smoke to see if they wanted to carry my tobacco and I sent them samples. For you people hopelessly attached to Social Smoke, you may be able to order Tangiers from the soon. I agree, they seemed very nice. They seemed very honest and forthright.
