ataneja
I was looking at Taqseem's ebay store, and he lists EasyLight Japanese Hookah Charcoal for $4.99 + $5.99 shipping, and also lots of 24 boxes for $47.76 + $30.00. I was wondering if anybody had tried these? Are these quick-lites, or will I need to heat them with a stove? And how are they?
Brad
They are square coals with a silver coating that is supposed to make them light faster. In terms of "light speed" they are between quicklights and natural coal. You CAN light them with a lighter, but it takes a while. They do last longer than quicklights though. There are a few different companies that sell Japanese styles coals, Easy Lite happens to be one of lowers quality ones. Personally, if I were to buy Japanese coals I'd go with Abu Hitiam (sp?). HookahCaterpillar
I dont like japanese coals personally. I think they take awhile to light and they also burn away pretty fast. They also dont produce enough heat to get that real creamy smoke.

ataneja
Cool, thanks so much for your input guys. The store that I go to sells boxes of three kings for $12, which is a good price as far as I can tell. So i'll just stick with that!

ataneja
I believe they're just the 33mm coals, not the 40. Where do you get yours?
