Color Smoke?

Recommended Posts

There have been times where my initial draws of Al Fakher yielded some smoke that was tinted slightly pink, but that is due to the incredible amounts of red dye they use.

It would be kind of cool to be able to make colored smoke, but I'm not sure how we would go about doing it.

I really don't think that is chemically possible.

It has happened before, but only for maybe 2-3 pulls, then it went back to being white.

i thought i was getting pink smoke from AF then realized it was from the rug we have that was giving it a slight appearance of pink/red. its pretty much chemically impossible, usually when you have a colored cloud you should be running away very fast

exactly, colored smoke = death.

My friends dad was telling me back in the 70's they made cigarettes that had colored smoke, but people started having serious lung problems after smoking them for a couple days and they were taken off the market. Dont know if its true or not, but I wouldnt say its chemicaly impossible, since firework companies make smoke bombs in every color you could want.

Geeze man, noone said colored smoke was impossible... just that the dye in the shisha couldn't cause the smoke to be colored odd, and that all the ways we use to color smoke make the smoke quite hazardous, and in some cases deadly.

The orignal post asked if it was possible at all, not if the dye could.

Like I said in my post, the way they colored the smoke in cigerettes caused health problems.

Sorry if It came off as hostile, it was not my intention, and I wasnt trying to say anyone was wrong.

Oh, I didn't take anything as hostile... guess I couldn't properly convey my tone in text, hehe. Would be great though, to be blowing out emerald green clouds of smoke, and without dieing afterwards

Yes text is not a accurate way to convey emotion at all. smile.gif I would however prefer blood red smoke, it would be a great way to freak out new hookah smokers. w00t.gif
