Smiley's In Tucson

I made it my goal over the past couple of days to go to every smoke shop/hookah lounge in Tucson to see who had the best prices. Today I stopped by Smiley's Ultimate Hookah. They only carried two kinds of shisha: Fumari and Nakhla. First of all, they apparently mix different flavors to make their own batches (I thought you needed a license to do this... maybe they have one?). Second, they wanted $9.00 for 50 GRAMS of Nakhla! WTF? I informed them that 250 grams usually costs about 6 bucks, and they said they were a "specialty store". I didn't even want to ask how much the Fumari was.

Most places in Tucson either sell King Moassel (gross) or Starbuzz. Anyone aware of any shops in Tucson that have a better variety?

Unless you get in with someone who can get you wholesale pricing, the good online vendors combined with the HF discount codes is most likely to net you the best deals overall on most shisha. Of course sometimes certain local shops will sell a product for a bit cheaper than you can find online, but for the most part, I find online shopping w/discounts is the cheapest overall figuring in gas costs, and my time.

Sure, Tangiers is a bit different and requires a little work -- AND having a good online forum like this to read up and ask questions surely helps the experience - trying to convince people NOT to buy tobacco is hilarious.

me neither. especially when its so cheap in the US. some people say they can get 250g nakhla packs for $5, which is a real bargain.

Do people buy Epic? I ordered Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry, Graham Cracker, Fuzzy naval, Pink lemonade last week. I have tried all of them, an although they all smell pretty good, the Blueberry is the only one with any flavor in the smoke. ALl of them get huge clouds, but I can't get any flavor out of it. Is it just better from Arizona?

Agreed about Head East/West, as well as the Puffs. I was mainly looking for Tangiers and Al Fakher. I have enough Layalina/Epic to last me a couple of months. As far as I've seen, Moon is the only one that carries Tangiers (I've been to both locations, they carry the same flavors). I picked up my Al Fakher from Luxor.

The problem I've found with Epic is that most of the flavors diminish in 10-15 minutes and end up all tasting like honey. When I want a calmer session without the "sugary" flavor of Starbuzz or seriousness of Tangiers, I'll do Epic. Some people fault Epic for the same reasons.

Yes, alot of people buy Epic, a very large amount of people and honestly 99% actually love the flavors..and make a point to tell the stores.
I can't say that only arizona loves it, since my best stores are in austin, atlanta...and the list keeps going.....
