Winter Smoking When In The House Isnt An Option

Recommended Posts

As the temperatures start to fall where do my fellow hookah brothers and sisters like to indulge the urge? Indoor smoking is a no go for me because my girlfriend is a devout non-smoker and wont let me sad.gif (im whipped pretty bad). In the past I have tried several things, none more exciting than the mummy, basically I wear numerous layers of clothing cover my face completely and feed the hose through a jacket and never stop breathing out of it. Not quite as enjoyable as relaxing in the bean bad watching the sunset on a refreshing 71 degree sunny day. What are yalls suggestions?

Did it in the garage, had 2 space heaters plugged in, turn them on, and blew a bunch of fuses.

Don't plan on smoking in there this winter though.

In the garage. Close the door and it will eventually warm up. It helps if you park your car that was just running in there so the heat from the engine heats up the garage.

I totally thought you were telling him to park the car in the garage and run it with the door closed. I was like dude wtf it will get warm, but far too warm. Also to answer the question at hand. If my girlfriend told me not to smoke in my own house i would say oh well. But of course mine doesnt live with me and for good reason. But she smokes with me anyway so it doesnt matter. So i really cant tell you what to do. Do you have a lounge nearish?

Similar to Smokinmoose I also live in Canada, with my parents who don't mind if I smoke but in the winter they dislike it due not having a window open and it "stinks" up the house plus they are both non-smokers, sadly I lack garage so when they aren't around or its nice enough I either grin and bare it outside, or just not smoke.

I hope you have better options

The obvious solutions I see are:

1) Become un-whipped from your girlfriend
2) Move to a warmer climate
3) All of the above

In all seriousness though, it sounds like the garage is your best bet. Or find a buddy who likes to smoke with you, and hopefully you can smoke at his pad.

im stuck smoking in the garage regardless of weather, but i have a table set up with a burner and what not on it, and a rolling office chair so its rather cozy. Also, i love winter so i just go out there in a hooded sweatshirt and smoke and im just fine biggrin.gif

I'm having this same problem right now.. living in a dorm in chicago, it gets fucking cold but if I don't open a window or something my douchy RA will come and rat me out to the higherups, and that's a set of problems I'd rather not deal with...

Two solutions I'd suggest: 1) see if you can compromise on making one room of your place into your smoking den, crack a window just a little bit and get a space heater. This is what I do most of the time in my room. 2) If any of the bars in your area are smoke-friendly (they enacted a smoking ban here a little while ago so this isn't an option for me, but might be for you), take it there and smoke. You'll smell like ass when you get home, which might end up hurting you more than it helps, but surely you'll get a free drink or two if you let people sit and smoke with you. If there's a really chill hookah lounge in the area that'll let you bring your own (rude, I know, but it's what you have to do if you don't want to pay 10x what it costs to set up yourself), that might work.

Anyway, good luck. Hearing stories like this makes me glad my girlfriend's into hookah too..
