Windcover Tall Enough For Km + Phunnel

I have a KM Ice and a Medium Phunnel. I have a large Taj windcover, and it seems like 1) It's a couple inches too short, 2) the bottom diameter is too wide (almost as wide as the entire coal tray). What wind cover do you guys use for a similar set up?

I stack my large one on Beer cans. There isn't one that fits on the market, so you can mod your own out of various objects, or just use tongs or cans to stack.

Or make them out of foil and just have it fit around the edge of your bowl.. Thats what i have been doing since i got into hookah and it seems to work perfect and it cost next to nothing.

I seen one where someone cut a hole in a SB tin and sat the windcover on that. I myself use a Tanquery gin tin.

if you take a a medium sized coffee can and cut the bottom out of it, a normal windcover fits just inside the can, and it will add a good 4 inches to your windcover

Dude if someone coudl do some basic sheet metal work and setup one that was big enough with a decent handle, they could make a lot of money. I would personally pick up a couple. I want to use one myself but can't every get one to work the way I want b/c of the height of the funnel + KM. I tried the starbuzz trick but its still a pain and now quite what i want. As for the tanqueray tin, that may be worth checking out...

i had two windcovers like the ones zenite shows, cut the one from the middle and inserted it to the other one,it works perfect

i think i seen someone before. he cut a hole in the center of a starbuzz tin, and used that as an "extender"

i actually tried the starbuzz tin and it WON'T WORK unless you have a tall cover, I have a 7" or so cover and it still didn't do the trick.

take a 2 liter bottle of soda, wrap some alum foil around it, crunch it closed on one side. I did this, it works beautifully. tear some holes in the side of it, and crinkle the top around the top of the bottle as well to make the little chimney part. fits over my funnel when nothing else would, not sure if it's gonna be tall enough but give it a shot, alum foil is cheap so if it doesn't work, no loss.

Ok... I suppose I did forget to mention that you'll have to take the bottle out of the middle in order to work it. I assumed folks would catch on that it's just for the shape. mea culpa! Please remove the bottle after you complete the shaping, and viola, you have a nice aluminum only cover that will sit over the bowl! Good catch, sorry bout that, it was late hehe.

If you can find it try a Turkish style (at least I believe it is Turkish) windcover. It is cylindrical in shape but has an open top so you dont need an exact height just something tall enough t cover the coal, I have seen some pretty large ones so there are probably a few for sale out there.
