bloodypuppets
Hi! I was given a hookah from a friend as a birthday present; its used and was purchased at an imports store. The vase is an average size. Im new to hookahs, but I understand the basics. The problem with my present is that the down stem into the vase doesnt screw into the main part of the stem. The threading on the down stem is fine, but it looks like the metal on the part it is supposed to screw into is deteriorating. Do I need to buy a new stem? If I do I dont know which one I should get because i'm not sure which ones fit my vase. Any suggestions? THANKS!
slingham
Can you post a pic of what exactly you're talking about??
joelhookah
A vase really aint shit without the stem, buy a whole new hookah or check out a site like thehookah.com who sells just stems, but they have mostly grommet style, not screw ons. Good luck!

modisess
the down stem will not screw on the main stem anymore? most probably a chinese hookah.just use some plumber's tape and wrap that around the thread on the downstem. It's not a permanent fix but it'll work pretty nicely.
