Even Af Admits There Grape Is Bad. They Know It.

Recommended Posts

I have a friend who knows someone that works for AF. They are fully aware that the grape is messed up. A few years ago they changed the grape, to go with a much more cheaper version.

They have made so much money off of it, that there is no insentive to improve it. We all keep buying it. The flovor is so bad by their own admission, that they mixed a new mint with it to mask the terrible taste we have been experiencing. Hence the grape mint flavor. They know grape is jacked up, but they will never do anything as long as it remains the #1 seller. That is a fact.

mint grape, and lemon grape, are pretty cool flavors by the way. IMHO.

Im sorry I ment Lemon Mint. I think these new flavors are pretty tasty, and better than the stand alone versions without the mint.

I'm sorry but I have a hard time believing grape is the number one seller.

My guess is they would have dumped the black currant flavor component. Black currant is fantastically expensive. They probably added more grape flavor to try and compensate for that lack of silky currant flavor.

Hey, wait...I just had an idea for a new Tangiers flavor...

Black currant has a silky, but unstable kind of flavor, it has three distinct component plateaus but it a marvelously rich flavor, its texture is silky. A regular flavor might be $10/Lb, Mint and Kashmir are $40/Lb. Black Currant is about $130/Lb.

They might have even removed one of the really expensive components of the black currant and left the rest in.

or the person he talked to was full of shit.

I was thinking the same thing. This guy has no source or anything, it's just a "friend of a friend" testimony. I doubt the credibility of this claim, and I don't think we should go after AF with our pitchforks because of this random thread.

...

why do you guys have to

shits getting old, really...why does everyone have to jump to personal attacks when someone makes a mistake. There are a lot of ESL people on here. Show some respect.

[edit] also: if you dont have anything useful to contribute, then dont at all and skip along to the next thread that peaks your interest.
