neffertiti
I have a Mya Gyro, and the threads on the main stem where you screw it into the chamber have totally worn down and it won't screw into the chamber anymore. has this happened to anyone else that has a MYA? i usually unscrew it everytime after i use it to clean it, should i have left it screwed together more? Sordino
Talk to Mya, they have a damn good warranty, they very well may replace it for you. As long as you bought it from a "authorized retailer" I think.
neffertiti
well, I bought it from HS so i'll give them an e-mail
Sordino
Yeah if you bought from HS talk to HS on their live chat first, you can find it in the top right hand corner of their site, they may replace it, they have really good customer service in my experience. If that fails, however, try Mya.
slingham
I'm right there with you. I have the Mya Chic an when I was first putting the downstem on it cross threaded itself an I've never been able to get off. I haven't tried a wrench or anything but I figure at least it's on tight so it works. Let me know if you talk to mya direct I'm curious how that goes. mushrat
Mya stands by their products. Though YOU cross threading it might not be covered as a manufacturing flaw..

inino
i would unthread it as little as possible. i generally dont like hookahs that unscrew anywhere, but i have a couple. i leave them together, except for like once a month when i do a "deep" clean. Stuie
With Mya's on my obelisk where I thread the stem together I use Silicon Thread Tape. You find it in the plumbing section at any store. It's really cheap. When I get my vortex I will probably do that too on the threads. That will they will last forever.
