Two hoses I would go with a Mya, that way you can make it a one hose if you want or a four hose if you desire.

Second the Hypnotic, if i am not mistaken is a Sahara Smoke Stem. The Stems are of questionable quality.

what size hookah are you looking to get? small, med or large? like the others have said go mya they have an auto seal feature on the hose port so you dont have to plug the ends while the other person takes a hit. they also come with a combination locking case if you get a med or large one. I would stay away from Sahara Smoke hookahs as there stems aren't very well made. If its just you and your wife smoking i would still recommend a 1 hose but the nice thing about mya's is you can turn it back into a 1 hose if its just one of you smoking.

the base on the hookah you posted is one of my least favorite bases. its hard to get the water level right because of how narrow it is on top and there isnt much of a "smoke chamber". hard to even see the water level. mya vortex is really nice, and this is nice too http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/conf...p;idproduct=113

I'll say a mya too. My wife and I like to smoke together quite often, so I decided that a multi-hose was a must. We have a mya gyro and a mya acrylic. At home we use the gyro, the acrylic for when we're out somewhere. The autoseal hose ports on the myas are awesome and allow for someone to leave the room or lay the hose down without causing any issues. If you smoke solo occasionally, you can get a standard hose port to swap out with. That flows a little better, so you can get even better hits.

i bought my first hookah from social smoke like 3 yrs ago and sent it back the day i got it for a refund because of the shitty quality and it didn't even fit together properly, so i switched to the abyss from hookah-shisha, it's a decent first time pipe but its def. not a mya or km, so if i could go back i def. would've bought a mya in the first place instead of it being my third hookah.

The only bad part about two is packing two bowls, managing heat on two bowls, twice as many coals used, ect.

At least with my wife, she'd prefer I run the hookah, so she can sit back and enjoy smoking instead of running her own hookah.

We were looking for a medium/large hookah...we discussed getting two small ones, but decided against it. If I can turn a two hose into a one hose that is even better!

I'm convinced to stay away from the hypnotic. I liked the look of the Artoo that Stuie posted, but I want a nice smoking hookah more than I want a pretty one...however, we both really like the idea of a clear/semi-clear base. The Vortex looks amazing and everyone really seems to like it, but a clear bottom is kind of important. Something that can last a good long time is important as well.

Also, and forgive me I really am new, how does one convert a two hose to a one hose, and there was mention of converting a 2 hose into a four hose...how is this done?

The Mya stems have hose ports that screw in, and have plugs, so you can easily switch between the plugs and the hose ports

The Mya acrylic hookahs smoke really well. The Artoo would definitely make a good starter pipe.

The Mya Vortex is a solid choice. Its actually expandable up to 4 hoses but can be smoked with only 1. The glass quality is top notch, its easy to clean and maintain. You could also consider a smaller hookah like the Razo or Chic, they also have great quality glass and good build quality on the stems. Both are expandable to 2 hose.

You may also want to consider a Rotator hookah, you should be able to find one for between $60-90 in both 1 and 2 hose. Most legitimate retailers carry high quality rotators with stainless steel construction, but be careful if you decide to buy on Ebay or a similiar site.

vortex all the way. glass bases are much better than plastic ones, they look much better (the mya acrylic bases start cracking after a while, thus they aren't too pretty - but still functional)

i have a vortex my cousin picked up for me, whatch out when cleaning though, i barely tapped the glass and that thing was a gonner....and i paid 45 bucks for a replacement base. (i got a white/translucent one, it's basically see through). and yeah, those can easily be converted into a two-hoser if you snag the right ports; it might be a little harder to get a hold of the ones you can convert into a 4 hoser though (i wouldn't know, i'm not a huge fan of multiple hose pipes). either way, it's still do-able.

good luck! and if you want a multiple hose pipe, i would say a mya; and if you want a mya, i would recommend a vortex.

I just wanted to let everyone know my wife and I settled on the Mya Vertex. It arrived yesterday and we are in love. Not only is it beautiful, but it smokes like a dream.

Now I just have to learn how to pack and smoke the ton of tangiers I ordered and I'll be good to go.

Honestly for a multi hose pipe I'd say go with any of the MYA pipes that stuie put up. They smoke well and have solid construction. They have very clean lines and almost zero imperfections as they are machined. As mentioned earlier they can be converted from a two hose to a one hose by means of the MYA threaded plug (I think they should come with your pipe but don't hold me to it). You get one of those and some wide gauge hoses and you will be set for a smooth and easy smoke. And definitely invest in an authentic Tangiers Small Phunnel Bowl. They will make a huge improvement in your sessions.

Yup, just tried my first tangiers packed phunnel bowl last night. Passionfruit, acclimated for 24 hours, and packed quite hard (as described in numerous posts). It smoked wonderfully! My only small complaint is that the flavor was a tad weak, oh and it is going to take 3-4 sessions to finish off that bowl.... 3-4 hours??? does that sound right?

Like I said though, My wife and I are thrilled with the Vortex.

it depends some people take longer then others, but for me it was about the 3rd bowl or so that was just wow but then dont be surprised if u have another okay one or two it just takes practice. good luck!
