yashman19
Meh, I don't think I'll ever order a vase alone online. I really need to inspect it and try it out for myself. I guess you can go ahead and order it, and if it doesn't fit, you could always request to send it back (gotta ask if they will allow this). Also a little tip. If the vase you buy is slightly too large for your hookah and grommet, try taking the grommet off of your stem so there is the plain metal, then using electrical tape wrap a couple layers over the metal stem, then put the grommet back on. Keep doing this until you get a nice fit. Ofcourse that tip will only work if the vase is on the large side. If its on the small side then you're screwed. iheartvarg1
yea, i've always used electrical tape...authentic stems/vases rarely match up well...
Sonthert
Yeah, electrical tape is the best, in my opinion. The thing I would be worried about are :A) IS the jar flat (does it sit flat or wobble) andB) Is the jar true (round)
sheeshabum
A few ideas. A much better sealant is white teflon plumbers tape which costs around 60 cents to $1.20 a spool. It makes a 100% perfect fit for anything and it is what plumbers use on your leaky pipe or faucet before charging $75.00. It will work with the rubber grommet too. My rubber grommet is a bit too big for my vase so I wrap teflon tape (its not sticky) between the rubber and the bowl just in case. Its good for any kind of air leak and non poisonous. Another idea is to take your rubber grommet to a store that sells vases , glassware like TJ Max or something. Show your funny rubber grommet to the security man at the door or the lady inside.Tell them its your wife's I.U.D. Don't put it in your pocket, or you'll have all the groupies running after your large "apppendage". If you see a nice vase water bowl that comes close to fitting, well, try it out for size.(the grommet, you fool.)You might get a very exotic vase even bigger than the maximum 11 or 12 inchers sold. sheeshabum
dizzing
haha, technically some of the byproducts from the manufacture of teflon (thus, chemicals you may find in miniscule quantities in any teflon products) have been placed on the "likely candidate" for causing cancer list.. or something like that. seems like a bunch of horse crap to me, i bet you're more likely to get cancer from breathing the air iin your own house, but hey
sheeshabum
How healthy is the air in L.A.? In Mexico City people sleep with a machette by their pillow for more than one reason.......when they wake up in the morning they have to cut a window from the polluted air in order to get some oxygen. I'm also a bit worried about the small country of Mainland China where the word is out that anything not yet polluted will be soon. The only thing I can breathe and enjoy is through my hookah. sheeshabum
