I store most everything in Lock and Lock containers.

If it's a 50g box or a metal tin. I put them in baggies and back in their container. With exception of the new fantasia, i just put them back in the Fantasia containers and shake before getting out the shisha. I don't worry about fantasia much, it's already really wet.

That's what she said!   yahoo.gif

and yeah I do the same. I also have a couple of air tight jars that I use for certain flavors that I smoke often and don't want to break out of bags and get my hands dirty. The jars are sold on Hookah-Shisha and they work okay. Got them free when H-S offered their custom Romman flavors.

Glad Ware is your friend.

Cheap, reusable, and airtight. It is the perfect size for 250g packages, and I usually cut the label off of whatever the original container was and tape it to the lid.

I've experimented with different containers, and find the best way is to store shisha in vacuum containers - the ones that come with a pump so you can take all the air out. I have found that shisha stored this way retains more flavour over ones that aren't - especially with Al-Fakher.

Anyone else tried them?

yea, typically with a 250 gram box, I put it in one of those quart sized ziplock bags, fold it up so its a nice little package, then I bought one of those rubbermaid ultraseal things with a maroon top. It was a few bucks just for one, but it really does keep it 100% airtight

I got some Metal/ glass containers that have the mason jar lock lid on them and they kept my shisha great

($1.50 at big lots) They easily hold 250 and can hold up to 500gs. However, I use Lock n Lock for my tangiers and I"m never looking back as far as those go wink.gif you dont' realize how awesome they are until you seal them up the first time. Or test out the air/water tightness they claim.

For stuff like Tangiers/AF that dries out fast and sucks when it's dry I might pop it into a mason jar. Usually doesn't last long enough to dry out if I just keep it wrapped in its original plastic, and put it in a ziploc.

I smoke mainly Nakhla though, and that smokes fine dry so I just leave it wrapped in the packaging (not air-tight, but good enough to keep it from being a mess)... and if by some bizarre chance it gets too dry, I add a drop of glycerine and there's not a problem.

Yo, another forum newb here. I just bought 10 2oz glass jars from Specialtybottle.

Shipping was twice of what the jars were, but I think it may just be a minimum shipping/handling fee for them since when I added 10 plastic jars on top the shipping was identical.

The jars are nice screw-tops....now all I need is to buy a label maker so I don't have to tape the sides of the boxes to the jars smile.gif
