This thing is like a miniture portable colman stove. I use it in my lounge & I can light natural charcoals in under a minute. I sell them at half the price of the website & they are a hot seller. at my shop they retail for $28 US but however much you spend these things are commercial quality & are guaranteed by me to be the only hookah lighter you will ever need. They are currently marketed as "The ultimate Table-top cigar lighter." but are basically a flop. if only Alec Bradley smoked a hookah he would realize the full potental of his beautiful gizmo.

how would you balance the coal? Would you just hold it with tongs? I dont really wanna do that. Oh by the way this sounds like an advertisement just letting you know. If you could make a video on how to light coals with this stove I think that would help.

I like it, but it seems the downside (compared to the Walgreen's Single Coil Burner that a lot of us use) is that it consumes butane. Also, you have to hold the coal over it, compared to the coil burner, where you can place the coal on it for 4 or 5 minutes and set your hookah up while waiting.

Yeah, I'd have to see it in use as well. Looks mainly just like a propane stove, only minus the rest for coals and a few burners... Or just an oversized tabletop lighter.

I might consider using this to light a coal if I didn't have other things to do while it heated up... but I'd sooner use a magnifying glass to light a cigar

If it's like, a $1 captain black or something I'll resort to butane if I can't find anything else, for higher quality shmigars I only use wooden matches, and for Cubanos it's a cedar strip or nothing

looks like a miniature bunsen burner. From the 2 videos i saw on youtube it doesn't really look to be a good accessory for lighting naturals (my reference to naturals being mesquite wood chip coals) because of the time consumption (holding one coal at a time).

But for quicklites and travelibility its pretty cool

It wouldn't be bad to hold one coal at a time over that with tongs, it would light rather fast, put the coal off to the side and set up the hookahs.

Hmm, seems interesting and maybe even worth a try.

Just watched the vid oolatec linked and yea, even though that looks convienent, I wouldnt want to hold the coal forever waiting for it to light, would rather just use quick lights if in a pinch or put them on a single coil burner and get everything set up while I was waiting for my coal to light.

Or you can go to home depot and get a cheap blow torch like I did....

You have to hold the coal over it so that sucks even if you rigged up a tray above it it'd still be a shit load of butane and it could light the coal too fast and injure the integrity of it like an exotica put on instant heat.

Looks more like an Ad to me than anything useful. Just my 2 cents though.

I was thinking I never used a torch, prefer to light them all on the burner at one time.

Doesn't the tongs get hot while lighting the coals with a torch or that thing?
