wilarseny
So, here's the issue. I have a Mya Obelisk like this one from hookah-shisha, and the part where the inner stem connects to the adapter piece between the stem and the core, these two pieces are stuck together. Here's a picture if that helps: These two pieces are absolutely glued together (not literally, of course), and whatever I do I can't get them apart. I have some of that stuff that you use to open really-hard-to-open jars, the grippy stuff, and it doesn't do much to help; my grip doesn't slip from either piece, but I still can't get the two apart. And I'm not a weak guy, I'm in decent shape. I've tried putting them in the freezer to make the metal contract, no dice. Hoping you guys could help. Stuie
Two pairs of Slip Joint Pliers and twist them out. One on the pipe, one on the adapter.Might mark up the inner tube ever so slightly. Afterward use a Silicon Thread tape on them and no worries ever again. I got one. Trust me.
wilarseny
Yea I have one pair but my hand keeps slipping off the handle before I get even close to having enough leverage. I think the problem is, the inside tube fit in the adapter piece just ever so crookedly. I'll ask around the building and see if anyone has a pair I can borrow, thanks for the advice. So far the one's marked up the inside a fair bit, but.. whatever. It's on the inside for a reason...
mushrat
Is it crucial to have the pieces seperated?
wilarseny
I mean, not really. The hookah will function without them coming apart. BUT since they are connected unevenly, the whole pipe tilts slightly to one direction. Not something that's absolutely crucial to fix, but I'd definitely like to. I think once I can get my hands on some more pliers I'll give it another shot, unless anyone has another idea before I get to trying that one.
