Caffe Latte was good... Might need to try it with some Nakhla as the bottom layer to add flavor.

It improves airflow as well, if you're using a non-phunnel bowl, ergo you get a better draw, and better heat circulation, so more smoke.

Caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, bo-nana, or any coffee flavour will compliment AF Cafe Latte nicely.

I really don't know what to tell you. I have been smoking al fakher both expired from three years ago, to tobacco that expires three months from now. I have never once had a problem with al fakher. I don't see how so many people have been having so many problems. But then again, I buy mine from the local store and never online.....

That shouldn't matter, if quality goes down, then all new releases will be lower quality no matter where it is distributed. Unless they are turning into KM and giving the USA lower quality products and selling the good stuff to the country they manufacture out of.

Heh who knows.

I've never had a problem with AF either. Once and a while flavors will smell a lil funky so I let them sit out a bit, and they are fine.

oh no... well im not ordering AF anymore I grew up on AF and thought it was the king of shisha...

I will have to one day order Al Ajamy just because one person said the old owner of Al Fahker owns that shisha company and will just have to try that shisha to see how that is.

AF still has some great flavors, just dont get the ones you dont like.

When you order ask for the dates. So far i have tried maybe 10 250gram flavors of july-august 08 and they were good. I too arent a fan of their watermelon because its too strong for my taste but their mint (and a few other flavors), imo, are unbeatable.

i recently ordered 3 AF 250g mint, watermelon, and double apple all with may 2008 prd dates and i think may 2010 exp dates and when i opened all three of them they smelled great. They were all the usual AF red color and really juicy. smoked all three of them in the last couple of days and they all produced clouds and great flavor while smoking them out of a small phunnel on a 35'' km blue caravan especially the mint and the watermelon.

Oh, that plastic flavor can also come from an overpacked bowl.

makes sense, i get that time to time with BGB and I pack the shit out of my Small Phunnel like 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch above rim tight....

But the shisha smells like pastic even before i pack it.

in that case i dont know. i know when i smoke tangiers some times it tastes like plastic but it doesn't smell like plastic. I thought it was my hose but its no longer a new hose any more... My Al Fahker doesn't smell right any more either after being in ziplock bags for 3 weeks.. my esk apple smells more like Ass Rotten Esk Apple. And Cardamon smells like some one spiked it with Lemon Pledge.

How ever the esk apple smokes a bit harsh and the cardamon smokes OK not as juicy as AF usually is. There is no doubt in my mind AF quality is going down.

I got some AF grape and AF sweet melon not too long ago. grape from June 08, melon nov. 07.

The melon was straight up rancid. Nothing like melon, just a sickeningly sweet rotten fruit, plastic smell. The grape fared better, but it still had a hint of that smell, like it was on the way out.

The melon I chucked after 1 bowl. I tried the grape a few times, but overall, it sucks. I don't know what the allure is. Layalina makes a much better grape, and I don't have more stems than leaves in it either..

It'd be nice if the company cared at all so we could voice our distaste and concerns to a listening ear.

I remember reading that they have new ownership bent on cutting costs.

Any one, esp vendors with direct connects, know this to be true?

A good company would listen to their diehards.

Just good business practices. I understand that unfortunately things don't always work that way.

Fusion sour green apple is all I smoke for the last year. I dibble dabble in othe rflavors, but I love this one, I buy it by the kilo, as for a good grape, I liked starbuzz royal grape, it was what AF grape used to be.
