it was a joke i cant stand layalina. it gives me a headache.. AF is the best knows brand.. i personally dont like it for various reasons i smoke starbuzz and fusion.. AF over here you have to buy at a basha market or something ive never been able to find it at a smoke shop including world smoke shop.. and yes ive been there its like walking into a room filled with hookahs and walls of shisha i usually dont shop their because there prices are high compared to other smoke shops that sell sb for 16$ tax included

One and Two worldwide would have to be Nakhla and Al-fakher. Nakhla has obviously been around for a very long time and distribution and pricing have made the brand readily available. Al-fakher has to be up there and is definately well sought after in places where it is not available and widely regarded as one of the best brands available.

I am unsure whether american brands such as starbuzz even if widely available would reach the heights of nakhla or al-fakher although it does seem to be very popular.

And for tangiers all i can say is there must be something special in there cos the first time i try a flavour it seems ok but for sum reason it just grows and grows on me and in the end regardless of what brands and flavours of shisha i have i always end up preferring the tangiers shisha! He must be doing something right!

from what I know it's nakhla... i see them everywhere! but they are one of the truest traditional flavored tobacco out there..

Well one needs to consider the difference between the most popular and the most common. Nakhla is by and far the most common, but that is not to say that AF isn't more popular.

I can honestly say that I have not even had 1 good experience with Fusion. It's cut is terrible, it's mostly a mashed goo. It burns to a crisp with the lightest touch. Their fruit flavors have too much glycerine and are soapy or way off, their non-fruits are weak. Their clove is absolutely revolting.

Wow. What are you doing so wrong ? Fusion is not difficult at all to smoke well, or maintain. And at least 1/2 their stuff I've tried, I've really liked.

Hookah Tobacco Zone and Golden Crown Smoke Shop both sell AF. They are both also right down the street from World Smoke shop.

2nd, the fusion that I have gotten that wasn't old (dry) has been awesome!

They wouldnt be able to even be common if they werent popular. We're talking world-wide sales. Their company far surpasses AF in stability and popularity of the product over all. I dont even think AF can say it's more talked-about in the world.

its a sad day when starbuzz, af and tonic are considered an upgrade for anything, personally my 2 favorite shishas are tangiers and fusion. but ill agree that af and nakhla are probably the most popular in the world. i think af and maybe starbuzz has it in the states.

Yeah fusion is a brand people seem to not talk much about and their flavors are amazing! Guava and Pear are prob my favorite two from them so far. Have you tried either of them Canon?

I totally agree with this. I think Fusion has some really good flavors and is good quality. An luckily the two shops closest to me have a ton of it.

I think i can safely say Nakhla accounts for 80% of what's available in Western Europe. In Germany Serbetli is a little more popular, introduced by Turkish immigrants there but nakhla is still #1
From personal experience i've seen Nakhla and local vendors' home made tobacco is the most popular in Syria, AF also has a market share there but smaller than the afformentioned. in Turkey it's basically the same as Syria but swap AF with Serbetli.

Never heard of Serbetli before. But when I was at a local hookah-bar in Turkey last year they used shisha I'd never tried before. Was fantastic, their strawberry was probably the best Shisha I've ever had. Dunno what brand it is, but I guess it's not impossible that it was Serbetli. Although my Turkish friend claimed it was a local no-brand shisha. Have you ever tried Serbetli? Any good?
