Another Electronic Shisha

Recommended Posts

id prefer to use charcoal. you can control temp a little better. i mean it says that its the same as charcoal but some shisha needs a lot of heat and some needs a little. maybe if it had a temperature control knob or something it would be a little better,

I agree there, but an electronic alternative would have some advantages (e.g. no carbon monoxide, sulphur or other undesirable gasses, less mess, less risk of burning someone at parties and could have implications for smoking bans).

http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/view...p;idproduct=447

Note how it's Labeled a Hookah Charcoal Heater but the product says Tobacco Heater.

Worthless for heating your tobacco, but great for heating coals.

Im sure some one will come out with an electrical bowl shisha lighter where you can control the watts on it so you dont burn the shisha because its brand is different. Lets be honest it would save lots of money and be a lot user friendly if people got it working right.

Its who ever wants to step up to the plate and make one correctly. (not me)

Ali Baba is legit. They are more of a wholesale dealer though. You gotta buy in bulk for resale. I was looking into buying some tobacco from them. But you have to buy by the ton sometimes more.

alibaba is not a wholesaler or a dealer. they are a listing service for manufacturers and wholesalers.

Why would you mess with something that has worked for hundreds of years?

That's the same rationale behind the Chinese proverb "What was good enough for my father is good enough for me" Obviously there was a great spirit of discovery, innovation, exploration, openness to change, and inventiveness throughout China's history...

Since you are against innovation perhaps you should never use a mass produced hookah, phunnel bowl. aluminum foil or COAL. The earliest "coal" was not coal at all but dried camel dung if I recall correctly. Then you should go fashion a primitive hookah out of a coconut and who-knows-what else.

There is nothing that I like about charcoal whether natural or quick light.I made a 2 hour trip to a local stor in Jerusalem that I buy at which is basically the only source of charcoal. I got a bad batch, had bought 3 boxes of 100 each, went back especially to exchange and same results. I'm going to try another brand, but I've used the available brands before. My opinion after 8 years of smoking is that charcoal by far is more dangerous than the shisha mixture.

You are so right, progress gives you options. Is there anyone except me who never bought a microwave or cellphone? I list probably the only 2 inventions that I don't care to use but not for health reasons. Things often improve and you can use your free choice which is good.Hookah has improved in the last 40,30,20,10,5 years and that's great too! I would never smoke out of a coconut.

MMM camel.

In all seriousness, since you took my comment entirely out of context, I should have said that I like my current set up just fine. Every so often, something like this comes along and you can tell it's going to be an immediate failure.
