Wax Type Skin In Nakhla Mandarin

Recommended Posts

This is my first time trying this flavour and when I was packing the bowl I discovered a HUGE stem(about 3.5 inches) and a sort of waxy skin. The bowl is smoking awesome and the flavour is good so I don't think it is a bad batch. Is this normal?

Haha ya thats what I did. Ya the skin kind of surprised me though. The best thing I can compare it to is heated plastic wrap...kind of stretchy and translucent.

Someone posted a pic of a dead honey bee that was found in a shisha pouch. I'm glad I haven't found anything weird yet.

Just goes to show it's all natural biggrin.gif

Don't know about smoking that stem if it's covered in something weird... Just toss it?

I'm pretty sure what he's talking about is just the bit of leaf that always seems to envelop the stem itself. Fits the description fine, and makes more sense than anything else I can think of.

Stems produce good buzz. Cut that stem up, mix it in, and smoke it.

ive never heard that before

Hahaha because it's not true! AK just loves smoking stems and inhaling CO, he thinks he's getting buzzed but what he describes very closely resembles symptoms of CO poisoning not any sort of nicotine buzz.

I do believe that stems contain more nicotine than leaves... I'll see if I can find where I read that.

On another note: how would smoking stems produce more CO than smoking leaves would?

It wouldn't I just thought it was funny in that thread where you talked about your 45 minute buzz hahaha whenever that happens to me I just assume that I'm dying and I've been inhaling too much CO.

Edit: I was right, that is the feeling of slow Carbon Monoxide induced death happy.gif Edited by An1m

Ah, you misread this thread: http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?s=&am...st&p=313179 , or took it without reading my previous post. That buzz definitely didn't last more than 20, and only that long because I kept taking hits. The session was 45. Bad grammar on my part, but it makes fine sense after reading my first post.

Not impossible that there was some CO in action, but doubtful as it was the first session of the afternoon
