I just ran out of 5 star and going to need coals in a week or 2 so im thinking about doing the 3 tubs and a box of cocos but i dont know any good al waha flavors beside 5 star

Save your $. All this would do is give you great coals, and low end shisha.

Al Fakher shisha is much better. Heck, even Layalina is better than AW, IMO.

LOL i love layalina. dont bash on it ; ). i tried AW guava cuz i got a 250 of it for free. the cut of the tobacco is kinda wierd and the flavor was kinda off. the california dream tastes sorta like hawaiian punch IMO.

I liked the Al-Waha Guava I got from Hookah-Shisha on clearance. The flavor was GREAT and it gave me a buzz after a few hits and I never get buzzes. I don't smoke Tangiers but I started out smoking Nakhla and Al Fakher and Nakhla constantly made me lightheaded and gave me headaches in the beginning, but only certain flavors @_@ and now I generally don't get buzzes.

I dunno why everyone says to save money by not buyin AW. IMO there are only 2 brands that are not worth spending money one once in a while: Romman, cause its just that bad, and SB only cause its way too expensive. If the price was more affordable then maybe SB would be worth it. I grew up on AW though, i mean its no tangiers or or something like that, but its still worth to money.

What exactly is the matter with Romman? I think Romman is pretty darn good. I prefer it to Al Fakher and Nakhla, granted I've hardly smoked either of those in the past year, and have stuck to Romman, Starbuzz, and Pharaohs, only smoking Nakhla, Al Fakher, Afzal, and hookah-hookah intermittently, when I'd run out of tobacco I actually wanted to smoke and was forced to go to a smoke shop Edited by An1m

I'd smoke Al Waha any fucking time. The only flavor from them that I've tried so far and didnt like somehow was California Dream. Too sweet to my taste. But Melon, Orange Cream, and Watermelon are freaking good. Watermelon tastes like the jolly rancher watermelon. Just delicious. Dont bash Al Waha. I can guarantee you that you'd probably have better luck with AW than you would with AF, especially with the whole grape and every other flavor fiasco.

I've been eyeing their watermelon flavor. Glad to hear it's a tasty. I'll pick some up once my AF Watermelon runs out. I have 2x 250g containers of AF Watermelon; one tastes amazing and one is harsh as sh*t. I agree that AW is more consistent with their flavors. They are also more consistent in their cut.

Make sure to be a little more careful with your heat management with AW than a wetter tobacco like Fantasia. I find AW to be between AF and Nakhla in wetness. Kinda stringy tobacco consistency. I like it, makes packing the bowl a lot easier and no shisha falls through the holes.

ive found some of it when you pull the piece of leaf open to be big enough to line my entire bowl with... of course i ripped it up some but i do think they have some very large cut compared to most other companies but it is not as consistent in its size as other brands still larger cut just varies flavor to flavor and pack to pack, in my experience at least

I actually like that feature. Makes bowl packing easier and less juices get through the holes. I like that with old style Tangiers as well, when they had the bigger cut. The buzz was bigger as well.

o ya it does make it easier, hmmm tangiers is still pretty large, at least all the tangiers ive gotten, was it bigger before? and when did they switch?

I just smoked strawberry I liked it, there is def better strawberry out there but i liked it. Thick smoke for Al Waha. I still think the california dream is better in terms of taste. California Dream is probably the only thing ill ever buy from them, despite the red dye to the point it dyes my skin red too. Edited by newjacksm

besides, you can get nakhla for a few bucks less.

This Tangiers we have now is groomed differently than the stuff before. I think they switched about a year ago. I got a 250 of Apricot Spring Blend and it was in the old packaging. Stuff is cut pretty broad. I've had pieces come out of it that were an inch by an inch and a half roughly. Pretty big compared to this stuff.

it seems like that would have been a little hard to pack up. maybe not the traditional tangiers way but for us crazy people that smoke in an egyptian bowl

I think it would have been easier actually. You would use even less tobacco with the broader cut old style in an egyptian bowl. How much heat do you use with the egyptian bowl as opposed to the phunnel? Express it as a fraction, that way I can split my heat right. There's no way a shallow egyptian bowl would take as much heat as a phunnel. I'm thinking maybe half of the amount. But when I've done Tangiers in the egyptian before, it was like a third, sometimes less.

usually about 2/3s but lately it has seemed to not be exactly enough heat (usually use a wind cover). on my mod bowl i leave the center open and pack the edge kinda hard and leave a space so the foil doesnt touch the tobacco (use 2 cocos on the mod and 2 on the small phunnel)
