Inconsistant Smoke

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I just finished smoking a bowl of plum shisha (layalina, I think) and it was awesome. The only negative was the inconsistent amounts of smoke that I was getting.
Sometimes it was very thick and white and sometimes it was very thin and vacant. I tried moving the charcoal around a bit, and it seemed to help a bit...

Any tips for getting a thicker, better smoke? I'm using 'gold' quicklites that I bought at a local head shop. I also took out the second extension of the neck in order to save some space today, if that makes a difference (just changes the height of hte hookah by about a foot, I think).

Here was my setup:

Pull that foil tighter. You want like a drum. Cut the coal into halves and put the halves on opposite sides of the bowl. If your smoke still isn't dense, load more tobacco (til it's level with the top), and put another half coal on. If it's a lot of smoke, but hurts your throat/lungs to smoke it, take a coal off/take tobacco out.

Yeah your foil kinda looks like a basketball net smile.gif It should be super tight and flat like a drum head. Your shisha should come up in the bowl to about 1/8th of an inch below the foil. Your holes look a little big too, possibly. Use a toothpick and push it down through the foil and the shisha as well, until it hits the bottom of the bowl. Break that coal in half and put them near the edges of the bowl. Make sure your coal is FULLY lit before using it as well.

Let us know how it goes.

im going to agree with above people. You foil should sink down like that. Also golden quick lights are pretty bad, but they will still work. seperating them will help.

Shouldn't* ^^^
