Agreed

So, to end the threadjack that has been going on:

Do like you would on your first day of a college class...Read the syllabus(Rules), abide to it, and be ready for possible abridgments/pay attention for changes

Well, thats 2 more members on 5 day vacations.

How many more of you would like to ignore the rules?

I don't care WHY you are discussing illegal stuff, I don't care if you don't like the way we have come up with to discuss it in the limited capacity we do, just don't do it. This rule sis NOT open to discussion.

NEXT?

My teachers would always give us a test over the syllabus...which is a point that was brought up earlier.

Another point that was brought up earlier was that we should email them the rules when they join. A yahoo group of mine did that, and no problems so far!

Facepalm.

Have we forgotten that sometimes rules are for the best in certain cases? Was kindergarten all THAT long ago?

I have a 2 and 4 yr old that get disciplined when they don't follow house rules, and we as adults should be more adept at following simple rules than this.

Does it seem harsh sometimes? Maybe. But that's because there is history there that many of us were not around for. While you're reading the rules, do an extended search for these issues and you'll see how mad and crazy it used to get.

Sometimes we don't see why rules are a necessity untill we have some perspective and hindsight.

Let me preface this question by saying I'm not arguing at all with the rules. I just want to understand it better.

Are rules related to illegal drug references there because it is illegal to discuss said drugs in a public forum like this? Or is it because the hosting company doesn't allow it? Or is it simply a personal choice of the admins because they don't want to associate hookah with illegal drug use?

I believe that it is a preference. We all don't want those people who search for NHT references on google to come across our page now do we? What about those people that write news reports on how bad hookah is for our youth and integrity of this country? I'd imagine that we shouldn't give them any links from the middle eastern traditional smoking that we enjoy here, to something that is definitely illegal and looked down upon.

We are the exception to many forums on the internet, we have dignity, and hookah has no reason to be correlated with illegal material.
