Ordered The Wrong Base

Hello All,

This is my first post to the forum. I broke my base a couple weeks ago and I ordered a new one on the social smoke website. It looked just like the one I broke but when it arrived I realized I should have ordered the small one because the grommet is loose when I place the stem in.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix to make the two work together? If all fails, I can always just order a small base and also a medium stem and have two but I'll keep that as last resort. Edited December 4, 2008 by aurrea

hmm. get a bigger grommet? rap wet paper towels around it? other than that I would say get a smaller vase

If it is close to fitting but doesn't seal, you can wrap wet paper towels around the grommet to get it to fit tightly. If it isn't close at all, you're better off returning the vase and getting the correct one.

Hmm you might be able to wrap another, thinner grommet under your current one to thicken up the stem. If you or your friends have any extra grommets lying around, that's my suggestion.

Otherwise just send it back.
