modisess
Okay, i know most of you guys say that the lucids doesn't need any acclimating.. but i opened some raspberry a couple days ago and it smelled like pure tobacco, slightly burnt smell..So now I've been aclimating it for 2 days now, and the smell still hasn't changed. I am using rayver's acclimating technique but i am using a plastic wide plate instead of a piece of foil, just for the convenience..Any thoughts? drabin
have you smoked it yet. Just smoke a bowl. If its horrible stop and take the un smoked tobacco out. if acclimating isnt doing anything thats about your only other option imo
erufiku
I'd just smoke a bowl regardless of the smell...

I've heard that the a/c lowers the humidity somewhat, im not sure.. Edited December 4, 2008 by modisess
erufiku
I don't know for sure, but I'd think that you should acclimate it in the conditions that you'll be smoking in...I was going to acclimate my Orange Soda overnight but might end up smoking some tonight (acclimated for about 3hrs now).Anyway, smoke a bowl and post back if there is a problem. So far it's just the smell, so I don't really see a problem with that.
modisess
well, studying culinary i just made myself think that the smell is the taste, i guess only thing to do for me now is to just smoke a bowl of it
DJ_HOSSEIX
as the others have said smoke it and if it doesnt smoke well let it acclimate more. Although lucid is the washed line of tangiers it doesnt hurt to let it acclimate.
Balthazar
I've always had to acclimate mine. As a matter of fact, I've been acclimating some lucid strawberry for two days now, and it still smells like plastic with a hint of strawberry. Could just be because of where I live, but I've always had to acclimate Tangiers, whether it's he regular line or lucid. Some times for less than a day, some times for as much as four or five days. modisess
okay, so im smoking it now.. tastes like fish.. gonna let it acclimate again..
Bulldog_916
Seems like now, during the winter, there are MORE problems with Tangiers than normal. I think it's just a result of non-consistent daily weather patterns. Wait until you get some consistent daily weather, then smoke the Tangiers. For now, smoke some regular shisha. Tried some Kashmir Cherry and Bramblebery right out of the bag, both were really crappy. So yeah, I always acclimate mine until they smell right. And as the guy above me stated, winter time and Tangiers is always tricky (has been for me, at least).
modisess
it's not winter here, i have a tropical climate all year round.. but now it's the rainy season so i guess it's a little bit more humid than most days..
