Zyram
Hello, I'm looking for some help guys. I have a medium and a small phunnel, but I'm wondering if anyone knows a good way to pack tangiers in a standard egyptian bowl? Now and then I just don't want to set up the phunnel bowls, but I want some tangiers, so is it any good out of an egyptian? (I tried once before, with moderate success) and if so, what's a good way to pack it? I packed it far too tight and couldn't even take a pull the first time, then had to empty some out and try again. Thanks ahead of time for any advice, will check back here in the morning, hoping for some advice so I can pack a small bowl before work -Z
antouwan
pack it normally (as in normal tangiers) tightly, using the pinch method. then get a toothpick or something and create a gap in the middle of the head (as long as there is a hole in the center) so that you can look straight down (birdseye view) and see the floor. foil it and poke some holes, and you should be set
xpimpitox
I must be the unlucky one because only once have I got tangiers to smoke smoothly outta a regular egyptian and even then it smoked really hot. Might have been the flavor though it was Green Apple Candy.
Ice Chamber
im new to tangiers, and still have yet to get a smokeable bowl out of the phunnel bowl. I had three new tangiers orders come in yesterday and I had to try it, so I smoked out of an egyptian bowl. Packed it loose, just like I would with starbuzz and it smoked amazing. First time I was able to actually enjoy smoking tangiers. Now if only I can get the phunnel bowl method down.. jezter6
Pack it semi-hard, not quite as hard as you would a phunnel.I get better flavor from tangiers out of the egyptian
ryno
I usually get Tangiers to smoke better out of a Egyptian for some reason.. I just pack it a little more tightly than other shishas
erufiku
Can somebody explain this to me? I've wasted a lot of Tangiers baccy trying to get a good session out of the phunnel (it's an original medium phunnel by the way). After seeing this post I remembered how I used to smoke Tangiers Cocoa out of a standard MYA bowl. Well, here I am, finally enjoying Orange Soda out of a mya bowl... I'm getting big clouds and the baccy is not getting harsh like it did with the phunnel :/On the other hand, AF smokes great out of the phunnel.wtf
Zyram
get some saying pack it tight, some saying loose, I'll try and pack it a little looser than my phunnel. And thanks for the Toothpick idea, I'll be sure to do that. I'm about to have some green apple candy from my phunnel, but in a while I may load up some kashmir peach and try that with one of my egyptian bowls. I just got a new egyptian bowl (on the cheap, a local store loves me cause I was able to teach them alot about hookahs so I get a "hookah master" discount from them) and it's one of those with the built - on windcover. Think one coco will be enough on that bowl? or should I prep 2 just in case? again, thanks guys for all the input.-Z
mattathayde
either pack it harder than normal shisha but enough to still pull through the bowl pretty easily or so the hole in the middle style like was mentioned. i usually make the hole a little larger than antouwan said and i try not to put holes over that section.ive found acclimation/lack there of is what makes tangiers not really the packing. the first tangiers i got ended up getting way over acclimated cause it never smelled right and is ruined but the stuff i got 2 months ago i didnt have to acclimate at all and it smokes fine.-matt
