When I was living in Israel in the late '90's early 2000, Nakhla DA was the golden standard of narghila enjoyment and from what I understand, little has changed. It was the first shisha I ever smoked and I haven't found anything better. From what I've read about it, Nakhla is the oldest shisha producer in the world. They are also the only brand that actually ages their tobacco. Nakhla is considered the paramount of shisha brands and Double Apple is their flagship. Since the first time I smoked it in a small Israeli disco in a kibutz near Hadera, I knew I had found my favorite pass-time.
