Sordino
Just wondering, I have never bothered. Wondering what kind of reactions you have gotten/if they allowed you to smoke it at all.

wilarseny
Unfortunately both cities I spend enough time in to warrant having a hookah there have indoor smoking bans.. do other people's cities? Is this just a midwest thing?
Sordino
Well, where I have has no such ban, I'm just wondering about ignorant managers and if I want to go through the trouble of raising enough hell to smoke it if they choose to fight it. Capt. Morgan
We;d set up hookahs at the restaurant I used to work at after hours but other than that, no.
AKammenzind
I would've if I smoked hookah back early this decade... but anymore it's somewhat taboo to smoke in public, and often either illegal or grounds to be kicked out if you smoke inside of a restaurant or pub. Me and some friends used to smoke in a coffee house in southside and get enthusiastic people wanting to try it, but from what I've heard it's now no-smoking (prob. for legal reasons) which has gotta be hurting them... around 3/4 of their patrons smoked. inino
no smoking sections in cali, but even if there was i dont think i would set up at a restaurant.
blastoffbrett
I've contemplated bringing my hookah to starbucks outside in the summer but since a lot of people would think it's a NH and the cops would give me shit it would be more trouble than it's worth. Plus Ohio has a smoking ban.

MrMoodz
Those are cool pics! AZ has a smoking ban in all businesses except for hookah lounges and some smoke shops. I've never seen anybody take a hookah into a non-hookah restaurant before. Very cool indeed.
Scoop
i took my hookah to a Mediterranean restaurant (closed down), it had no smoking license however it had a patio in the back where we got served and we smoked out there. they were kinda weirded out by us wanting to set it up, but let us do it anyway
seefoodlover
No smoking in Florida. But I don't care, i would think that setting up in a restaraunt would be a pain.
Rayneuki
No smoking in TN, but I can just cross the state line (into Mississippi) and smoking is allowed. Never thought about it... But not really sure if I wanna bother with it.
erufiku
No smoking in Quebeb either... But you can smoke outside in the parks and so on, provided you don't have a heart condition (or you can train yourself in taser dodging)
rigor
Wow. Just... wow.Really ? Do you really need to smoke hookah that badly ?Don't get me wrong. I love to smoke. But even right now, if I walked into a regular restaurant like Chili's / Denny's / etc, and saw someone smoking hookah, I couldn't help but think it's just a bit extreme. chromecarz00
Well we OC people kind of have a mixed persepctive since we more than anyone see hookahs be misused...personally if im in that phase where i have to smoke i would but otherwise unless it was late with a bunch of friends no... hookah hippie
I live in CA so no smoking in bars or restaurants but I don't think I would want to deal with setting it up there but it would be nice to have the option
SixPackSunday
i frequently used to set up at bars with friends... generally the manager pushed for me to bring it though because it brought in business for him.
*HOT&SMOKING*
I once asked the owner of a restaurant, and he said that he wouldn't allow it, as it refers to much to NH stuff with people who are not educated ...So that ended that idea...
