break it down!

The starlights at Mnhookah like Victim said would be good.

I just got this package deal http://hookahjohn.com/product.sc?categoryI...mp;productId=72.

Picked 3 natural coconut coals. $12.33 a box that has 132 pieces. So it's a good deal over coconaras as well since they only come with 84

I'll vouch for those CH Coals as well, just picked those up today and they are smoking very well so far. I'll keep both on hand, the Starlights for home use when I have access to my stove, the CH Quicklites for when I'm out and about and may not have my stove.

Check out the review sections for alot more opinons on this.

Some of my current favorites are the Chronic Hookah Naturals from http://www.hookahjohn.com

Coconaras are a good coal also, but I think they are a little pricey

Exoticas, I used to love them, but their quality has been really inconsistant for me latley so I'm hesitant to buy them.

I've never used the Starlight Cocos but I plan on trying them sometime.

http://hookahcompany.com/coconut_hookah_ch...l_1121_prd1.htm I've used these coals alot and I have to say that I like them alot

i do like coconaras, but i will most likely go back to using bulk/lump charcoal after i finish off the last box that i still have. I just can't spend that much money on coals for hookah.

My wife is highly allergic to coconuts so we are unable to try that one out.

We love the natural orangewood coals though. A big chunk of that on the bowl won't overheat it as long as it is moved every now and then and they last so increadably long. No bad taste, no bad smell, and best of all no headache even with longer smoking sessions. My only complaint is that you really almost need a saw to break those bad boys up. It took me about 40 minutes to break up the kilo bag into useable pieces. Still good price, good coal.

Exoticas for me. They ash really well in my opinion. No smell when lighting or smoking. Cheap. Easy to work with generally.

The Al Awa'el coconut coals on Hookah Company really do well also. I like the fact that they ash a small amount. But the ash is fine and gets in the bowl, especially with Tangiers.

In the end, its all preference really.

i dont like how the coco leave black powder when you slide them across the bowl. the powder falls into the bowl and it lights up in there, ruins a bowl quick.

i used romman natural coals from HS for a while. they as very clean, you can eat the ash. and they dont flake unburned wood into the bowl.

but i ordered saalam natural coals and also orange wood coals from thehookah recently.

i loved cocos when i smoke outside, when i can blow across the top of the bowl when sliding them. extremely effectively. cocos have no taste at all either, and they are very easy to manage. extremely predicatble. but flaking into my bowl and lighting up in there, is not cool.

personally, i think coco-nara's are the best out of all the 'premium' coals. just be prepared to pay a premium price. the best value for your money, and even better when it comes to smoking, are the natural lemonwood or orangewood coals. i use these from nakhla and for 6 bucks per kilo, they're pretty legit, cocos are more convenient for smoking indoors though.
