How Is This Hookah?

Recommended Posts

I was going to order a nammor from H-S, but they offer this hookah, which comes with a free nammor, for $50- holiday special. so i basically am getting a new hookah for $30. I am on a tight budget, but if its a decent hookah, i may do it.

is this a decent hookah?

Those hookahs are the epitome of crap, some will say they smoke well, but they are just crap. I have a stem that hasn't even been touched (i just looked at it and never smoked it).

So you're sure it's crap, yet have never smoked with it? I'll vouch for H-S egyptians, our group has used one for the last two years and it keeps on going many hundreds of bowls later. Not the best perhaps, but definitely not shit, and worlds better than a junior or pumpkin (the actual crap).

For the money I almost got one, but H-S doesn't have layalina, so I ordered elsewhere.

You can easily tell a hookah by it's design. Obviously barely any care went into making these things.

Ohh yeah, and they are COMMON CHAMBER Egyptian hookahs so they will not purge well at all anyway. Common chamber .. jesus.

Hrms? They must have completely changed since we got ours, because it's definitely not common chamber. Regardless, only pansies need a purge... I can deal with the half a hit that tastes off if the shisha gets too hot =P

Buy a mya or km and just buy a nammor if you need a new hookah

im not necessarily looking for a new hookah. i just got a QT. but my thoughts were that if i can get a $60 hookah for essentially $30, then why not. plus a heba diffuser, and carrying case.

I have the bigger one the 30 inch I believe. I have had it about a year. It was an awesome first hookah, but I recently upgraded. It will def be worth the money. On mine, you can see the weld lines very well. You can tell that the metal is not really thick, the stem is very light. But all in all, it is a good hookah esp if you are on a budget. Considering the nammor is $20 by itself. I think you would be happy if you bought the hookah. It is your desision. smile.gif

ya its not a very good hookah. nice hose i guess though.

when it comes to hookahs you get what you pay for.

Because of course every non-branded, inexpensive hookah smokes like crap. Solid logic.

I love how it has to be branded or else it's assumed to be a bad smoker. Whatever, I'll keep on smoking my amazing little 30 dollar no-brand Egyptian and laughing at those assumptions.

It's just an effect of fanboyism. Not really worth trying... it seems it's sort of a fashion statement to only use nammor/razan/KM hoses, KM/MZ/MYA hookahs, small phunnels, tangiers, coconaras, and of course they couldn't even look at a multi-hoser.

I dunno, I've had fantastic smokes out of cheap no-name egyptians, standard or self-built hoses, broken up clay bowls, and nakhla with whatever lumps of charcoal I can find.

I just bought one of those. It was like 27 shipped. It smokes just as good, if not better, than my QT. Purge sucks, but indian came up with a mod to fix that.

im not saying every non brand hookah is shit. i am saying that when you buy a KM/MZ/Mya you know the quality you are getting, when you buy a cheaper non brand one you could get lucky and get a really good hookah, however you could get a piece of crap that you regret spending 40 bucks on.

for online buying, i get where you're coming from. but in houston, there are plenty of arab groceries, which gives me the opportunity to go and inspect the hose ports and downstem, i bought a 40 dollar no name egyptian, and that thing smokes like a beast. it is the lesser of equals when it comes to my km precision, but it was a hell of a deal. i threw a legit hose on it (it came with a shitty one that leaked) and i have 0 regrets. i'm not the biggest fan of common chambers, myas included, just my .zerotwo
