How Is This Hookah?

Recommended Posts

I have a Nile I got from H&S about 5 years ago, and it is hands down the best pipe I have ever owned. It rivals my Mhalil Mamoon at times. Now, I will say, I have a traditional base, a phunnel bowl, and the Nammour hose. This is a steal from H&S, and I am considering getting two or three as gifts for friends.

I highly recommend you take this offer. If you take care of the pipe, it will last you many years.

It's a covered "plated" common chamber. You can't clean it, at all. No matter what. The metalwork is terrible. The hose port screws on, and screws on crooked. The draw is tight. The base was great, nice and thick, but that is a very very cheap base they offer.

I'm trying to not get you screwed, and is inino, we just want you to make a better purchase so you will be happier in the future. After all this talk I used mine last night; it was nothing even close to a KM or the likes. Not even an Egyptian from Caravansarai. I would not recommend to my worst enemy to buy one of these.

Also no one is realizing the problem and obvious shoddy quality of the covered chamber. Their pipes used to be separate piped chamber, like KM's and MZ's and normal egyptians, but these can be considered Made In China Egyptians. Edited by Hippo_Master

ya its not a very good hookah. nice hose i guess though.

when it comes to hookahs you get what you pay for.

Because of course every non-branded, inexpensive hookah smokes like crap. Solid logic.

I love how it has to be branded or else it's assumed to be a bad smoker. Whatever, I'll keep on smoking my amazing little 30 dollar no-brand Egyptian and laughing at those assumptions.

It's just an effect of fanboyism. Not really worth trying... it seems it's sort of a fashion statement to only use nammor/razan/KM hoses, KM/MZ/MYA hookahs, small phunnels, tangiers, coconaras, and of course they couldn't even look at a multi-hoser.

I dunno, I've had fantastic smokes out of cheap no-name egyptians, standard or self-built hoses, broken up clay bowls, and nakhla with whatever lumps of charcoal I can find.

im not saying every non brand hookah is shit. i am saying that when you buy a KM/MZ/Mya you know the quality you are getting, when you buy a cheaper non brand one you could get lucky and get a really good hookah, however you could get a piece of crap that you regret spending 40 bucks on.

You said "when it comes to hookahs, you get what you pay for." So does that mean if you pay more money, automatically the smoke will get better? Obviously not. Under that assumption, an expensive Mya would kick the crap out of any KM out there, but we know that's false.

When you buy non-branded, you COULD get a crap hookah. But it doesnt take much research to be fairly confident in what you're getting. You look for a solid pipe. Look at the hose ports. Look at the purge. Look at the craftsmanship. It's pretty safe to say that a maker wouldnt put a lot of intricate work into a hookah if it didnt smoke at least decently.

This hookah, for example, has a pretty large hose port so that means a pretty good draw from stem to mouth. Downstem is difficult to tell, but if it's even close to how big the hose port is you're looking at a pretty damn good hookah over all.
