Victim026
Well a local hookah bar got vandalized for the 2nd time this week, first time around they broke all the windows which had to have been $1000's worth. This time they spray painted muslim racial slurs everywhere.... It's freakin sick as shit, I really can't believe people... http://www.woai.com/news/local/story/Vanda...goQ3jnPmww.cspx

SuburbanSmoker
as bad as it is, this is just another example of ignorance to the max. Take a group of radicals who think they are doing something "good" or maybe they were just really messed up, who knows...bottom line is shit like this needs to stop and more people need to stand up for the communities that they live in. Just because a person is arabic or whatever nationality, it doesnt make them any less of a citizen or person for that matter. I hope the winds of change come aroarin soon. this country just seems to get progresively worse.

I know that we've got lots of rednecks and country lovers down here but our city as a whole is usually very very very accepting to different groups of people and racial violence isn't something that happens all that frequently. Voski
I think your title doesn't take into account that things could have been a lot worst if this happened at an earlier time.
erufiku
QUOTE What's Wrong With People Today?I'd say between 10-25% of the people at my university are idiots... The acceptance rate is below 5%. So, that makes 95.5-96.75+% of the total population idiots. That's what's wrong with people. The good news is that you can manipulate idiots for your own personal gain
Gold Wing Gunner
A place near me got broken into and robbed one night, I talked to the owner and he said all they got out with was a couple rolls of coins, but they broke two of his big plate glass windows. Honestly this would surprise me even if it happened in some of the more rural areas, where I've lived. Dealt with more redneck than I can count, and despite how I act and look I would fit the Texan stereotype (live in the country, raise cattle, go hunting, etc). For the most part even the dumbass hicks I've dealt with will at least tolerate people who are from different cultures.
ColibriDon
People are ignorant. I think Gaia put it best, "Does this really surprise you?" Sadly...no. There are ignorant pricks everywhere and these "people" are not surprising in the least.

NickReppinThe909
looked at me like they wanted to kick my ass, give me and my cousins the slowest shittiest service at a restraunt when the hick fucks next to us got there after us, ordered more food and got all of their stuff first, yelled shit at us in the parking lot when we went to wal mart to get spray paint to paint a undertail for a piece of shit bike my cousin has and were just rude/mean in general

Dirk Skene
Victim026 I have a question: Just your own opinion now. Do you think the damage was caused by "simple vandles" or do you think there was the - Muslims smoke those water pipes, so this place must be bad - mintality? There is a lot of that crap going on right now. It's sad, but it is happening. .... your take please.....
mustang_steve
Hey, don't can rednecks in with the bigoted fools that commit these types of acts. There's plenty of good folks out there that consider themselves rednecks, who don't have such views as the people that did this.I fall in both categories...growing up in a redneck part of the country (and in some ways it shows), as well as one of my parents being persian (and in some ways that shows...an amusing combination)...so I can feel for this guy, as I got tons of flak growing up for the persian side of my heritage (I won't go into specifics, it was pretty ugly though). This world is screwy like that...people in a community will stick up for each other in a time of crisis, but when things get calm, crap like this occurs. Perhaps the problem is too much time on our hands, allowing us to have time to be misguided...I really don't know though.Either way, I hope the people that did this get caught and dealt with harshly...if one has a problem with a person, they should talk to them about it, not don't go destroying the fruits of their labors..that's not only wrong but also a very cowardly thing to do. freezerburn456
The hookah bar that I work at was recently robbed 2 times in less than a month. The first time they got away with one of our 60 inch LCD TVs. That really bummed me out because it was in the half that I always work in. No more South Park before work anymore The next time they tried to break into the ATM, but luckily werent able to get into it. But the ATM is screwed up now and has burn marks all up the front. People these days need to just be happy with what they have and not try to take stuff from everyone else.As for the Arabic slurs, I have seen my fair share of that living in Dallas. It surprises me that happened in San Antonio. From what I have seen it is really diverse down there and I never have seen any real problems in the times I went down there.
