Id This Hookah

Recommended Posts

So, after reading GNR's miracle find, I went on to craigslist to do a little searching myself.

Lo and behold. Its hard to tell from the purge valve and hose port. But that hose is something ive seen been put on the KMs that have been coming out.

45 bucks. I feel an impulse buy coming on...

looks a little bulkier than the MZ pic in the stem but I'd say it looks loke a match. Either way it looks like a really nice pipe that you should buy smile.gif

Contact them and see if they'll give you more of the purchase info etc.

See if you can test out the airtightness and all that jazz too.

Nice hose

decided to hop on this bandwagon.

apparently they don't know what a windcover is used for.

FACEPALM

Confession: I did that for the first couple months with my first hookah. In fairness my buddy who sold it to me used it that way too, so I was none the wiser.

I've never had windcover so I'm not sure if I'd think it was just decoration or not if one came with my first hookah. That's not as bad as my friend who didn't realize you had to put water in the base until about the third time she smoked it.

Just gave the owner a call today. She says its brand new never used, it was given to her as a gift. I believe her because she sounded like a middle aged woman who really wouldnt know her way around a hookah.

So. Brand new condition.
KM leather hose.
Some shisha, coals, and the windcover.

Im picking it up tommorow at around 8 in the morning x.x lets hope I can wake up.

Righto. So I just got home from picking up my new MZ (Chicka chicka yeaaahhhh)
and this thing is gorgeous. She threw in everything she had for it. Bowl, windcover, 2 fresh 250s of Nakhla DA (Which I may or may not smoke... bleh, licorice.) and a fresh box of 3Kings, plus the leather KM hose. Not bad id say.

The only bad part is, she tried smoking it once but I guess never got around to it and the the downstem sat in the base full of water so theres calcium build up all around it and the chrome...paint? plating? (Help here?) is starting to chip away and theres a little rust.

Nothing a good lemon juice and soap scrubdown will fix, but I have a question. I dont want rusty chips in my base (or any kind of chips) when I give this baby a new lease on life. If I clean it out, is there any chance some more chips could come off and into the base? Is there some way to cover the rusted parts so this doesnt happen?

I'll take the DA off your hands, no problem! Mmmmmmm, Nakhla Double Apple, Ninja's faaavorite....

Oh and of course after the cleaning you must post pics and all that crap, congrats!

As to the rust, I have no clue, but after cleaning the horror that was the KM I scored I don't feel too much pity lol. I would assume that it shouldnt be a big problem once cleaned thoroughly but that assumption is based on nothing.

Great. Now you got me trolling my local CG for pipes. And i was just starting to get on top of my finances.

Just a tip: I've found that decent pipes get posted on Kijiji more often for some reason (search for 'chicha')
