Zyram
So, I got myself some Tangiers Kashmir Peach. I did not really dig the smell at first, but I tried some and it's pretty good. The problem I'm having with it though, is there's no peach flavor. Only what I assume is the Kashmir (kind of a flowery flavor?) Maybe it isn't fully acclimated yet? Tonight's bowl was bad, had to pack another (oh, and I frikkin dropped my small phunnel that I've had for 2 weeks now ). Anyways, what can I do to bring out the peach? It's the first Kashmir flavor I've tried, so is there something I didn't do with this that I need to do diff from a normal Tangiers flavor? Thanks guys/gals.-Z
Hojo
It's an acquired taste. The peach is really subtle, but once you smoke it for a while you will be able to notice it more. I have the same problem: I would like a little more peach.Kashmir Cherry is better balanced. The Cherry is strong enough not to be overpowered. Zyram
I may try the cherry. I just can't seem to get this K-peach smoking well, could be the weather lately too, it's cold/rainy/snowy and I think the humidity is changing alot. I still have plenty of green apple candy etc, also, anyone know who has spearmint in stock? gotta be my fav tangiers flavor, prob fav flavor overall. I'll keep trying, ordering a new small phunnel and some tangiers grape and some of the starlight coco's from MNH now.-Z

Kathrynx
kashmir isn't flowery, its a spice. When people smoke my k-peach, cherry, or just kashmir I tell them its called "spicy peach, spicy cherry" or just "good"acclimate and come back to this post and tell us if it went better.if not, canon and I might take it off your hands
GreatPigHookah
QUOTE (Kathrynx @ Dec 12 2008, 12:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>if not, canon and I might take it off your hands I'll be third in line, then. It IS subtle, but I've never had a problem tasting the peach, except when I got it too hot or not hot enough. When I started smoking the various Tangiers flavors, I had trouble getting consistently good smokes and flavor using my normal heat management technique until I went to thinner aluminum foil. Seems like I kept going from too hot to to cool pretty quickly and only hitting the sweet spot for short periods. Things got much easier for me using thin foil for some reason. May not help you at all, but it might be worth a shot if you are using thick or heavy duty foils.
Stuie
I smoked 200g of K Peach same problem, but I love K Cherry. I am kinda burned out on Peach though ... smoking a kilo of Nakhla Peach in a month will do that to you.
Sonthert
Acclimate it. A dry humidity shock will affect the fruity fraction of the flavor more than the powerful oily (kashmir) component.
Zyram
Thanks for all the replies, and even one from the creator of it! I had a batch out acclimating and I was planning to smoke it when I got home (I'm persistent) but GF did some cleaning and she packed it back up! Bah! Gonna try again in a few days. I also just switched to thinner foil (haven't been to the store for the heavy duty) and I've had some trouble with it, less heat on the thinner right? 3 coco's on a large funnel too much? I had a bit of harsh/coal flavor at first, once the coals went down a little it lost flavor, put on the wind cover and it was magic (Green apple candy that I had been acclimating as well, GF missed that one haha!). So I take it I just need to acclimate it far more with the cold weather nowadays eh? Thanks again for all the ideas and help.-Z
Zyram
Update:I acclimated the K-peach for over 12 hours last night, just started it up... AMAZING. Thanks for all the advice guys, I get a lot of peach flavor now! Got a friend over, got 2 hookah's goin, K-peach in one, green apple candy and sour mix in the other. Both are awesome. I think I just wasn't acclimating long enough (didn't have to over the summer) now that it's colder. WOOHOO!-Z
