Is This A Good Hookah To Get?

Recommended Posts

its a nice looking hookah, but it appears to be chinese junk...

I would recommend something like http://www.hookahcompany.com/caramana_khal...h_3207_prd1.htm for a good egyptian

or these for the only quality chinese made hookahs http://shop.gothookahs.com/category.sc?categoryId=7

welcome to the forum. when you make a decision, search around the forum for the discount code, most of the websites have them for us.

I have this hookah and the smoke quality is pretty good. I havent had really any complaints about it so far. I bought a ice chamber and a phunnel with it and its great. I also got the bohemian vase with this so it doesnt tip. I would say if you cant find anything else def get it.

Thanks for the help on the replies and is there a reason why you guys like the Egyptian made hookahs so much. the only reason I ask is I thought that since they where handmade that is was a lesser product because attachments sometimes wouldn't fit into it correctly.

I can't speak for all the members here but, I just like the look of the Egyptian models more. That's just a preference though.

As far as the handmade being a lesser product, I would say that is far from the case. The handmade hookah won't be perfect (my KM leans like nothing haha) but most everything will fit perfectly. I have heard tell of some hoses not fitting properly on some KMs but that is usually fixed with a thicker/thinner grommet. Bowls will fit fine, if they don't, use a different grommet.

Most KMs will have a very heavy feel and last a very long time if treated properly and cleaned regularly with a brush. Some polish maybe once a month will make them outshine that hookah and impress all who see it. wink.gif

Also, there's something really cool about knowing that someone physically worked on my hookah before it made it to my house. Adds some story.

As a side, my KM doesn't lean that much but it does and most people won't notice it in the dark (it looks straight from some angles) and it fits with my base fine--I haven't had a single attachment issue.

My rendition to preference is 1. Beauty 2. Smokability 3. Quality
3 is the number one reason for me...Non Mya, chinese made hookahs 9/10 are junk. I had a two hose mitsuba that fell apart in a year. The egyptians are solidly welded together, not gonna fall apart anytime soon.
Hope that helps you a little bit.
p.s. chinese is more expensive than egyptian usually...fancy that

There's not a single thing about a Mya that is handmade... Machines, Machines, oh and more Machines....
