Brass, hand carved heart, brass purge valve and brass hose port. can't get better than that. It's very nice. You are a lucky, you don't have a shitty Chinese rig or Shitty Egyptian rig so be very happy!The adapter you can buy will make a very, very tight pull. There is a little rust on the purge valveIt could be a variety of things, but most definitely is a thick solid heart, no matter what the building material.
