freeskierpj
Has anybody been able to set up their hookah in the car? I was thinking of a way to do this and I can get it setup and stable but I just am worried about how to keep the coal in place when turning and was hoping somebody has tried this and figured it out...thanks! fineout
make a 3-4" tall "crown" of foil tightly around the bowl, then youre good.
staygone
Make sure you make a crown. I have both the Witch and Hobohookah, and they're both very suitable for road hookahs when fitted with a bottle that will fit into your cup holder.Witch + Crush bottle= MONAY!Hobohookah + 1l SIGG bottle= MONAY!-QM Edited December 16, 2008 by QuiltedMaple

drabin
yea go ahead make a crown but you better be driving a piece of shit car. I don't have a car currently but when I'm home I can't smoke at home and I drive my moms audi. I would never risk a crown in it so I bought a leila. I got it in yesterday. cotsi95
I have a leila and i have a lifted jeep thats not very smooth. I was going 75 on the highway with 33in mud terrain tires on (very bumpy) and had no problem with the leila, actually it smoked pretty good for smoking in the car the bowl of af mint/vanilla lasted about 1.5 hours and made the drive to vail seem short. Dirk Skene
You gotta be nuts Now I truly mean no harm. But think about the added hand & arm movements, accidents, what if your cell phone rings? What it it gets tipped over ,..... & in heavy traffic? But it IS your car & your hookah. I just think it could be a distraction. & distactions can mean big trouble.

mustang_steve
I'd avoid it...my hookah gets to wobbling a bit when using it in front of my couch (hose getting caught on things, people sitting on the hose, etc)...I'd be certain to lose my carpet, seats or worse if I was to use it in the car. kbCorruption
Wow, me and my friend were just talking about setting up a hookah in his ride yesterday. I didn't know people actually did this!
Voski
I have done it twice. Both times I was in the passenger holding my mashal with a crown thing on the bowl. It was only like a 2 minute drive each time but it was cool.
cotsi95
well with the leila we smoked for about an hour with 1/2 a golden ql (broken in 2) then pulled over to get food. Ate then lite new coals and smoked for another 30 min till the bowl was done....oh ya and this was going 75-85 mph on the highway. Once it got snowy in the mts we stopped smoking. Since we have gotten 3feet of snow the past 2 days were hitting up the top of the mt. for a little mountain top smoke then a nice ride down. Somebody is going to get in an accident, and it will hit the news and before you know it the government will get their "distraction" clause going and smoking in your car will be banned...... Along with eating and anything else that could possibly distract you from driving. Thanks a lot guys.....'Rani

But it does...... There's just a lot in between from the first public accident to a ban. Like people thinking it was interesting or cool or something stupid to do then trying it themselves and another accident, etc. You know they actually started to try and ban eating in your car already because when the whole cell phone thing came up studies were done that eating while driving was just as distracting as talking on your cell phone. Personally I think George Carlin had the right idea..... Turn 'em all into bumper cars and let's starting having some fun with them including doing anything you want while you're driving!'Rani
