WcWorldwide
and sometimes it sticks to the foil, i really hate the taste of burned shisha, how can I avoid this?
zeppyrkr
push it down or pack less, you dont want it touching the foil, but ive been smoking forever and the bottom always has a little more life then the top, its physics the top stuff is closer to the heat source. mushrat
Use less coal. It's not unusual for the tobacco to stick to the foil sometimes. But if you are getting a burning tste, try using less heat.

Voski
Touching the foil has nothing to to with it. Burned flavor is usually a result of to much heatOr a bowl that is packed to tight.
Fluffy
how are you using your coals always split them and put them to the edge of the bowl opposite sides. my shisha always touches the top of the foil and i never get a burnt taste. oh and less coal may help if you already do this. kazz
burnt taste/burning of tobacco badly in general is heat related issue. Simply slow down your smoking. its the same principle as cigars. the more you puff, the hotter the ember is going to get, the faster its going to burn/taste bad. you dont gotta be puffing all the time! its a relaxing hobby, not a competition to see who can smoke the fastest! SimplexCoda
less heat and learn to manage your heat better, i.e rotating the coals more often.
Sariél
QUOTE (voski @ Dec 19 2008, 10:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Touching the foil has nothing to to with it. Burned flavor is usually a result of to much heatOr a bowl that is packed to tight.I beg to differ. Every time my bowl gets harsh, I pull the foil off and detatch the little charred pieces that are stuck to the foil. With good mo'assel, I have NEVER had a harshness problem that did not involve the tobacco touching the foil.
