Would This Config Work?

So I've been looking to get a new hookah for a while, and this Mya lead thing is only making me more worried. My question is, do you guys think this stem and the gold version of this base would work together? I contacted HC asking if they'd sell them to me as a set rather than make me buy the base/hose that come with the Nour stem, haven't heard back yet. Just wondering if the stem bottom and the vase opening would fit together, if anyone has the nour stem and could tell me how wide the stem base is then I could figure out if it would fit with the crystal base. Yes I realize this vase has lead in it, but lead in a base where there's no heat/anything acting on it is different from lead in a stem that's exposed to heat and is being smoked through.

Awesome.. what is the size of the nour stem base? i imagine you know if you're answering tihs I'm just worried about buying two expensive parts and them not fitting.. now only to see if hc will sell it to me, lol

the nour usually comes with a syrian 26 grommet. im not sure what the vase is. i think mdl has the setup you want already.

ive thought about it before. it looks good but i dont like that the crystal vase is pretty short. cool none the less.

I doubt there is lead in Mya hookah stems. If there is it's only in trace amounts. The base you linked to contains lead of course because that's the process of making crystal. The stems are nickel plated brass or stainless steel. If you dont like smoking out of nickel plated brass or stainless steel, you may as well stop smoking any hookah really.

Yes it will work but i HIGHLY doubt that there is lead in the stems of mya's and even if there is its not getting hot enough to vaporize the lead.

That's what we were wondering. People were saying there was a pretty across the board detection of lead, but whether something like coals in the bowl or even the smoke would be heating it enough to release anything harmful was what we weren't sure of. Someone was claiming they had precipitate in their bambino stem but I'm not sure how much stock I put in that.

well its not like you're going around sucking on the stem of your hookah. Its not like its going to kill you if you touch it, look at all the things that are made out of lead that AREN'T harmful if you don't ingest them. I still stick to the fact that THE most dangerous thing that comes out of a hookah is the smoke from the tobacco. If your worried about your health don't smoke.
