Hookah Base?

Recommended Posts

I have this hookah base, and i'm wondering if it's easier to have a glass blower blow a new vase for me, or what.

It's a screw ON, not IN type vase, bout 3 1/8ths inch opening for the screw on part.

The vase is 6" wide, and 9 1/2" tall. My stem is about 8" long, and I cant seem to find any replacement bases anywhere that are a screw on, and not grommet or screw in. If there's any other way of buying a different vase, and modifying it so it has a tight seal, i'm willing to do that =]

If anyone knows where to find screw-on bases, please let me know.

The bottom of the base has a nice hole in it. This is what I bought for 20 dollars... (the entire hookah set) (see pictures).

Figured I could get a cheap replacement base for it, and we'd be good. I'm trying to think of the best way to fix it (epoxy, or something) but I didn't know if that would work well since water will be in the base. Shit, I don't really mind epoxing it, and putting some tape over it lol, just as long as it works till I can get myself one of the better hooka's. I kinda like Mya's "The Apex". Anyone know how that smoke btw?

Anyways, attached pictures =] Edited by amorsh

Standard Chinese base. I have two that are screw on as well. Measure the inner and outer diameter and email some vendors like thehookah.com with your specifications.

Awesome, thanks Zinite!

Ah, well that's not too bad... hit it with some glass silicone sealant and you should be fine (other types will probably work... but not as well)

Just make sure to give it a full day to cure... some of those sealants can take quite a while before they're fully cured. That should do the trick though. wink.gif

Awesome.

Thank you sir!

Definitely worth spending 10 bucks on some sealant before you try to replace the whole base.
