drabin
Ok so I'm home for the holidays and one of my friends habibi hookah which she bought in israel did not come with brushes has in the 6 or so months shes had it has probably never really been cleaned. I'm thinking ill soak the base with some soap and water and some lime/lemon juice. What should I do with the stem? She has a razan I got her so the hose is not a problem. Just not sure what to clean the stem with since I don't have my brushes on me.

Zinite
I almost never use brushes. Cap one side of the stem with your thumb, pour alcohol rub or lemon juice or w/e in the other end, and cap that end with your other thumb. Shake it a bunch and wash it out. Victim026
Yup ghetto rig brushes like I do, roll paper towel strips til they are the same size as the down stem and then stuff em down it with a streched out coat hanger... It gets the job done but it takes 5 passes with clean strips to get the job done.
ryno
I think Canon made a video about making brushes for hookahs. He cut up a scotch bright pad or something similar and attached it to a hanger

mattathayde
ya just do the gheto made brush, should work well as long as the stem is smooth inside.worse case scenario mix up water and baking soda to a thick liquid and fill the stem with it and hold it in for a few mins then rinse well, that should at least kick any taste out all the way -matt
